honesttalk21: Allah saved Isa a.s (Yehushua) from crucifixion and death by the hands of the rebellious Jews/Israelites. Surely at the appropriate time Isa a.s will die. Sorry you have been more deceived as many others for centuries. .... As a proof thereof, the following is quoted from the Talmud: "When the city (Jerusalem) had been captured, Nebuchadnezzar marched with the princes and officers of the Temple...... On one of the walls he found the mark of an arrow's head as though somebody had been killed or hit nearby, and he asked who was killed there. "Zachariah, the son of Yehoyadah, the high priest", answered the people. "He rebuked us incessantly on account of our transgressions and we were tired of his words and put him to death." Even according to the Bible, when the Prophet Jeremiah rebuked the Jews on account of their transgressions, they accused him of being in conspiracy with the Chaldeans and traitor against his people and sent him to prison. Likewise had the Jews treated John the Baptist a couple of years before the crucifixion of the Prophet Jesus. They counted John as a Prophet and acknowledged him as one of the most righteous men of their community, but when he criticized Herod (the ruler of Judea) for his evil ways, he was not tolerated. He was first sent to prison, then beheaded on the demand of Herod's beloved, the dancing girl. It is, therefore, obvious from their record that when they presumed that they had crucified Jesus Christ, they bragged: "We have slain a Messenger of Allah. " This is another parenthesis. This verse is explicit on the point that the Prophet Jesus Christ was rescued from crucifixion and that the Christians and the Jews are both wrong in believing that he died on the cross. 6The priests said to Nebuzaradan: This blood is the blood of a priest and a prophet who prophesied for the Jewish people with regard to the destruction of Jerusalem and whom they killed. He said to the priests: I will pacify the blood so the boiling will stop. He brought the Sages and killed them over the blood and its boiling did not cease. He brought schoolchildren and killed them over the blood and its boiling did not cease. He brought young priests and killed them over the blood and its boiling did not cease. He continued killing until he killed 940,000 people over the blood, and its boiling did not cease. Nebuzaradan approached the blood and said: Zechariah, Zechariah, the worthy among them I killed on your behalf. Is it satisfactory for you that I kill them all? Immediately the boiling ceased. Nebuzaradan contemplated repentance. He said: If they, who caused only one person to perish, gained atonement only after all this killing, then with regard to that man, referring to himself, what will be required for him to gain atonement? He deserted his army and dispatched a last will to his house and converted. A comparative study of the Qur'an and the Bible shows that most probably it was Jesus himself who stood his trial in the court of Pilate, who sentenced him to death, but they could not kill or crucify him, for Allah raised him to Himself. |
Re: Jesus Predicted His Death And Resurrection In The Quran by honesttalk21: 9:39am On May 04 |
Ken4Christ: The Quran says clearly that he didn't die as a result of crucifixion. Quran 4:157 and for boasting, âWe killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of Allah.âBut they neither killed nor crucified himâit was only made to appear so.1 Even those who argue for this ËčcrucifixionËș are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoeverâonly making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him. Crucifixion was the most horrible, degrading punishment possible. Not only did it cause the terrifying and lengthy agony, but also it was designed to humiliate and shame the victim in the greatest way possible. Your programs lie that this was done to enable Jesus take up the sins of mankind and I challenge you to provide examples before this where your biblicalGod ties forgiveness to offering of sacrifice. Josephus, the Jewish historian of the first century A.D., called crucifixion âthe most wretched of deathsâ. Also because crucifixion was so horrible, only three groups of people deserved to die by that means: traitors, the most violent criminals and slaves. Jews and pagan Gentiles stumbled over the fact that Christians worshipped as the Son of God a Person who had died the death of a slave or violent criminal. To them the idea that a crucified man could be the Son of God was an irreconcilable contradiction. Doesn't Deuteronomy 21:23 say ...he who is hanged is accursed by God? So your god got acccursed himself and is seen to be so to make himself worthy to be called God. Wonderful! The rejection of a crucified messiah by Jews stems from their expectations of a triumphant and powerful leader who would deliver them from oppression and establish a glorious kingdom. The traditional Jewish understanding of the Messiah was one who would defeat their enemies, particularly the Romans, and elevate Israel to a position of prominence in the world. When Jesus, instead of leading a military conquest, allowed himself to be arrested, tried, and crucified, he did not align with the anticipated role of the Messiah as a victorious ruler. 1 Like |

Ken4Christ: Messiah, (from Hebrew mashiaáž„, âanointedâ), in Judaism, the expected king of the Davidic line who would deliver Israel from foreign bondage and restore the glories of its golden age. The Greek New Testamentâs translation of the term, christos, became the accepted Christian designation and title of Jesus of Nazareth, indicative of the principal character and function of his ministry. More loosely, the term messiah denotes any redeemer figure; and the adjective messianic is used in a broad sense to refer to beliefs or theories about an eschatological improvement of the state of humanity or the world. Is there confusion or deliberate distortion of the actual meaning of the Hebrew word Mashia? 1. Isa a.s being born by a virgin is one of the signs manifested in him depicting the majestic ability of Allah the only creator. 2. Adam a.s was tempted not to eat from a tree where was Jesus given a command not to eat from a tree? 3. Did he really fulfill the prophecy revealed in Isaiah? Was he king to the Jews and Israelites and seen as such? John provides a different perspective on his trial detailing a preliminary inquiry before [b]Annas rather than Caiaphas?/b] The emphasis is on private questioning rather than a formal trial setting. When he was reported dead on the cross after a few hours was there surprise that he had died so soon? Good excuse not to break his legs? |

22jumpstreet: Isaiah never had a son called Immanuel. The prophecy wasnt for Ahaz who is a faithless king, did horrible things including sacrificing his son in fire and built altars for pagan gods in the temple. God cared less if he was dethroned. The prophecy was assurance that the throne of David will be forever secured and will not be truncated according to the plans of enemies kings. The kings of Israel and Syria had planned to invade Jerusalem and remove Ahaz as king, then install son of Tabeel who was not from Judah to become king. This will bring an end to davidic descendants monarchy and also God's promise to David that his descendant will always be enthroned in Judah so long as there's a monarchy. God sent Isaiah to assure Ahaz that the David line of kings shall remain intact and the threat of syria- Israel will not terminate it. The sign he gave was a confirmation of that Davidic covenant and has nothing to do with Ahaz reign. That prophecy has both near and ultimate fulfilment seen in one vision. The ultimate fulfilment was accomplished in Jesus Christ as confirmed by the angelic message to Mary. Luke 1 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High (Immanuel). The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacobâs descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.â |

Antilslaam: From the link you sent, do you not see Ala Madudi and Ibn Kathir separated by a distance? Do you not understand that these are are hyperlinks? Ala Madudi is a different person from Ibn Kathir. Tap on the Ibn Kathir hyperlink and see his tafsir. Now let me explain what you pretend not to understand. "This speech in the cradle by Jesus was the sign to which the angel referred in (Surah Maryam, Ayat 21)" What is in Surah Maryam, Ayah 21? He replied, âSo will it be! Your Lord says, âIt is easy for Me. And so will We make him a sign for humanity and a mercy from Us.â It is a matter ËčalreadyËș decreed.â He who replied is Jibril r.a who appeared to Mary in the form of a man and this verse is a response to Mary's question in Quran 19:20; She wondered, âHow can I have a son when no man has ever touched me, nor am I unchaste?â The sign; Jesus, is the conception of a baby without a man. The speech is not the sign but Jesus spoke in defence of his mother when she was challenged on how he came to be. The sign is the miraculous conception. Antilslaam: You fail to understand and I am surprised at your reasoning. As a baby he was not rejected; as he grew and challenged their hypocrisy and they decided to eliminate him was when he was rejected. Have you seen a baby crucified before? Is it not clear that the jews/Israelites believe they crucified a grown man Jesus though this is make belief as Jesus was not crucified or killed. The people showed their rejection by their disbelief. Quran 3:52. Is their ploy to crucify him and lie of crucufying him not a rejection? 4:157 Antilslaam: God spoke through Jeremiah but who was seen to be speaking or is recorded as speaking? I guess it is God that is writing here on nairaland.com and not you with your Monika? Ludicrous! Jeremiah rebuked the Jews primarily by delivering stern warnings and prophecies of impending doom due to their faithlessness and idolatry See the book of Jeremiah 7. Then what do you know about Taqiyya? Let me educate you. Taqiyyah is the practice of concealing oneâs belief and foregoing ordinary religious duties when under threat of death or injury. It is derived from the Arabic word âwaqa,â meaning to shield oneself. Is my life threatened and in this case by you this internet bot? Do I hide that Islam is my religion in any way? Please Mr copy cat think for yourself. 1 Like |

22jumpstreet: First U lied that Immanuel is the name of Isaiah's son. Now that you have been bursted...U now looking for the boy in v 16. Its impossible for a virgin to give birth. Don't come up with maiden angle because in ancient Jewish tradition a maiden (unmarried young lady) is expected to be a virgin. If U are found not to be a virgin on your wedding night- you are stoned to death. That's why Septuagint wrote is as virgin. The prophecy is both for near and ultimate fulfilment. But if U disagree, then tell me who is the immanuel in the old testament. Who fits the criteria of Immanuel in the old testament? |

Ken4Christ: ++++++++ Indeed... and I think - the Lord GOD knows all things - it's one of the many works of the enemy to take down as many people, setting them on a path of destruction (from Adam & Eve to present)... that does not point to the One and only Savior - the Lord GOD YESHUA! "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.â - Acts 4:12 "I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior." - Isaiah 43:11 The Lord YESHUA says "Before Abraham Was, I AM" - John 8:48 "Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ." - 1 Corinthians 10:1-4 1 Like |
