Paul lies and accuses Peter and others of hypocrisy! by AbuTwins: 4:30pm On May 08
Clearly Jesus chose twelve disciples for his ministry. They were present with him while he preached around and entrusted them with carrying on his teachings!

Jesus gave the twelve disciples authority and this includes Judas
Matthew 10:1-3
And calling His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them authority over unclean spirits, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and sickness. These are the names of the twelve apostles: first Simon, called Peter, and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John, Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus...

The 12 Disciples sits on 12 thrones with Jesus
Matthew 19:28
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Revelation 21:14
The wall of the city had twelve foundations bearing the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Judas betrays Jesus so he automatically loses his apostleship despite helping Jesus to die as he and his father had wanted! So we now have eleven disciples

Matthias Replaces Judas in Acts 1:25-26
…to take up this ministry and apostleship, which Judas abandoned to go to his rightful place.” Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.

So the twelve disciples are back once again!
Acts 6:2
So the Twelve summoned all the disciples and said, “It is unacceptable for us to neglect the word of God in order to wait on tables

Now Paul was not among the twelve! He was never tutored nor given authority by Jesus! He asserts himself as an apostle, specifically as an apostle to the Gentiles!

But this is contrary to what Peter said in Acts 15:7 that he is to call the Gentiles
After much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you that the Gentiles would hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.

In Acts 10:27-28 Peter emphasizes the unlawfulness of a Jew to associate with a Gentile!
As Peter talked with him, he went inside and found many people gathered together. He said to them, “You know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with a foreigner or visit him. But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean.

How Paul started his Gentile preaching.
Galatians 1:15-20
I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not rush to consult with flesh and blood. nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the apostles who came before me, but I went into Arabia and later returned to Damascus. Only after three years did I go up to Jerusalem to confer with Cephas, and I stayed with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother. I assure you before God that what I am writing to you is no lie.

According to the above, Paul did not receive his teachings from any of the apostles nor any man but by revelation given to him alone!

Galatians 2:1-14 Paul sums up the fight at the Council at Jerusalem
Fourteen years later I went up again to Jerusalem, accompanied by Barnabas. I took Titus along also. I went in response to a revelation and set before them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I spoke privately to those recognized as leaders, for fear that I was running or had already run in vain. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek. This issue arose because some false brothers had come in under false pretenses to spy on our freedom in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us. We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you. But as for the highly esteemed — whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism — those leaders added nothing to me. On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted to preach the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised.

For the One who was at work in Peter’s apostleship to the circumcised was also at work in my apostleship to the Gentiles. And recognizing the grace that I had been given, James, Cephas, and John—those reputed to be pillars—gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, so that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the circumcised. They only asked us to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do.

When Cephas came to Antioch, however, I opposed him to his face, because he stood to be condemned. For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself, for fear of those in the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. When I saw that they were not walking in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Cephas in front of them all, “If you, who are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you compel the Gentiles to live like Jews?”

Paul clearly showed disregard to the leading apostles! And he lied that Peter was entrusted to preach to the circumcised!

This is contrary to what Peter said in Acts 15:7 that he is to call the Gentiles
After much discussion, Peter got up and said to them, “Brothers, you know that in the early days God made a choice among you that the Gentiles would hear from my lips the message of the gospel and believe.

He even accused Cephas aka Peter of Hypocrisy!
Same Peter Jesus said:
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Matthew 16:18

Why is Paul at odds with Peter and those associated with James Jesus's brother?

In Matthew 23:1-3
Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples: “The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. So practice and observe everything they tell you. This is an express order for them to obey the law! So why is Paul against those who obey the law?

Could it be that Jesus made a mistake in appointing the apostles and Paul was sent to set their affairs aright?
Or could it be that Paul was an impostor who lied and wrote spread falsehood with his letters?
Or could it be that Jesus was right selecting the apostles and the consensus of the apostleship are right while Paul was wrong?

All these distorted rants prove one thing - Islam is Satanism packaged as religion from God to deceive humans.

Luke wrote extensively about Peter and Paul. Let's hear what Luke said:

Jesus Sent Ananias to Paul after Paul's Damascus Encounter with Jesus:

Acts 26
"Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision, “Ananias.”

And he said, “Here I am, Lord.”

11 So the Lord said to him, “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. 12 And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.”

13 Then Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much [a]harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name.”

15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children[b] of Israel. 16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord [c]Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized."

Paul and Barnabas Were Commissioned in Antioch

Acts 13
"Now there were in the church at Antioch prophets and teachers, Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger,[a] Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a member of the court of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. 2 While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off."

The Elders (Including Peter and James) Send Paul and Barnabas Back With a Letter to the Gentiles[ after They Brought Reports Regarding their Missionary Journey

Acts 15

"Then the apostles and elders, with the whole church, decided to choose some of their own men and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose Judas (called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were leaders among the believers. 23 With them they sent the following letter:

The apostles and elders, your brothers,

To the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria and Cilicia:"

Peter Approves of Paul and Referred to Paul's Writings as Scripture

2 Peter 3
"Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, 15 and regard the patience of our Lord to be salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. "

Paul Never Put Himself among the !2. Rather He Called Himself the Least of the Apostles

1 Corinthians 15:9
"For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God."

Paul Recognized Apostles Who Were Before Him, Even those Who Were Not Among the 12

He was not proud at all:

Romans 16:7
"Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was."

When Peter said, "God at the first choose him to bring the message to the Gentiles "

He meant that God chose him as the first person to speak to the Gentiles - talking about the Cornelius mission. He was telling the anti-gentile Jews that God used him to open the door, or set the pace for preaching to the Gentiles which normally would never have happened. He did not mean that he was the one commissioned to teach the Gentiles. He actually never preached among the Gentiles other than the one he did with Cornelius and his household. He clearly left the Gentile preaching to someone who was fully called for that purpose - Paul. Peter spent his entire life in Jerusalem among the Jews because he was sent to the Jews, not the Gentiles.

There was no fight at the Jerusalem council. Only arguments until Peter and James spoke. Why lying like your Allah?

Paul was lettered! Hence he just used his literacy to envelop the other apostles of Jesus!

Paul didn't say all of them were hypocrites. He accused them of practicing hypocrisy during an event. That does not make them hypocrites. To be an hypocrite, you must practice hypocrisy continuously. They themselves took the rebuke in good faith. They had no problems with Paul. Peter even recommend Paul's Writings and called them scriptures in his later years. 2 Peter was written when Peter was already old and approaching his death.

Jesus also rebuked the disciples after commissioning them and found them fishing in John 21.

You're very ignorant.

Paul submitted himself totally to the authority of the Apostles. That doesn't mean he'll look away whenever they err.

Paul wrote letters, not everywhere but only to the people he personally bright to the faith. All the letters Paul wrote were written from prison to the people he preached the Gospel to, to guide them in his absence. He didn't write letters everywhere.

Even Peter on who Jesus said his church would be build became a hypocrite!

Paul described the event in which Peter behaved hypocritically. Peter never denied it. Barnabas who.was Paul's companion also behaved hypocritically in the same event. Bananas didn't deny it too.

You want Peter to be portrayed , and not his exact attitude recorded as in your quran? No! The Bible is based on truths. Not portrayal.

That's according to Paul's letters or Paul's companions Luke. Peter never wrote his own statement about the altercations. In a lawsuit the first to speak seems right, until someone comes forward and cross-examines. Proverbs 18:17. If Paul could write a letter to the Galatians informing them of the hypocrisy of Peter and other Big Apostles, then i think Peter and others were hypocrites! It was a letter! Think about it. You wrote a letter and you include such in it.

According to modern scholarship, there is a debate regarding the authorship of the Second Epistle of Peter (2 Peter). While some scholars believe that Peter, the apostle, wrote the letter, most New Testament scholars regard 2 Peter as a forgery. They argue that it was likely written by someone else using Peter's name. The basis for this conclusion is that the writing style and content of 2 Peter differ significantly from Peter's other writings. Additionally, historical evidence and analysis of the language used in the letter suggest a later date than Peter's lifetime. Therefore, the majority of scholars today do not attribute the authorship of 2 Peter to Peter himself.

Jesus also rebuked the disciples after commissioning them and found them fishing in John 21.

Not really! It shows Jesus too could make mistakes and send someone else to correct it. grin

Is that what the verse really said?

Paul was not the first person to say he was sent to the Gentiles. Luke recorded what Jesus told Ananias about Paul, that He was sending Paul to the Gentiles.
Luke was a companion of Paul. So what do you expect. It is clear from the writings.

You're very ignorant.
grin Thank you! Even Jesus too was ignorant. He would have removed Judas and appoint Paul in absentia!

This is false!
See Paul's letter to Gala i quoted before:

Is he supposed to have written the disagreements and such accusations as a letter to his church if they had solved it amicably?

You want Peter to be portrayed , and not his exact attitude recorded as in your quran? No! The Bible is based on truths. Not portrayal.
Wetin be this?

Peter behaved hypocritically as recorded but the slave of Allah the liar is angry at someone who called a spade a spade.

Yes, Peter was a hypocrite. Jesus did call him Satan in Matthew 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Peter did deny Jesus three times! Matthew 26:69-75

And Jesus said And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Matthew 16:18

Jesus made this mistake as the church was built on Paul!

Yes, he can use Peter as an example to teach biblical truths. That's Christianity. We are taught that even the mighty do fall. Therefore everyone must take herd lest he falls. No one should ever think he can be righteous by his own might.

Whoever you believed wrote it doesn't concern me. The fact is that the disciples all disobeyed Jesus. Jesus had to appear to them after His resurrection to reprimand them. John was also among.

Not really! It shows Jesus too could make mistakes and send someone else to correct it. grin
Unintelligent submission. It shows humans are imperfect and that we all need constant help of God and the loving rebuke of brethren to keep doing the will of God.

Is that what the verse really said?

Luke was a companion of Paul. So what do you expect. It is clear from the writings.
Luke didn't write as a companion of Paul. He wrote to someone to.imtimate him about the Gospel and showed how Paul began as a murderer and how the church started in Jerusalem and spread outside of it.

grin Thank you! Even Jesus too was ignorant. He would have removed Judas and appoint Paul in absentia!
Another unintelligent submission taken from corrupted theology. God calling a man does not make the man a perfect man. Even after God has called you, you still have the responsibility to guide your heart against sinfullness. God's call or prophethood is not an immunity to sin.

This is false!
See Paul's letter to Gala i quoted before:
This issue arose because some false brothers had come in under false pretenses to spy on our freedom in Christ Jesus, in order to enslave us. Who are they?

We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel would remain with you. But as for the highly esteemed — whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism — those leaders added nothing to me. What is this?
The argument was on circumcision. Not Paul's apostleship. Some Jews who were also followers of Christ wanted the gentiles to be circumcised according to the law of Moses. Paul, Barnabas and a few others argued against it before Peter and James cleared the air on the matter. There was no fight. Everyone was just stating his opinion!

On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted to preach the gospel to the uncircumcised, just as Peter had been to the circumcised. Paul lied here! Peter was for the uncircumcised too!

Is he supposed to have written the disagreements and such accusations as a letter to his church if they had solved it amicably?
It was a narration of an event to establish a point of discussion. It wasn't an accusation. Go and read the whole chapter.

Wetin be this?
Yes, Peter was a hypocrite. Jesus did call him Satan in Matthew 16:23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.” Peter did deny Jesus three times! Matthew 26:69-75

And Jesus said And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
Matthew 16:18

Jesus made this mistake as the church was built on Paul!

Unintelligent submissions. I don't like discussing unintelligent topics as this honestly. They're better ignored. But I'll tell you this:

God does not use perfect people. He takes imperfect people and turns them into useful instruments in His hands. There's no perfect man in the whole world. The Bible is a book of how God took imperfect men and made them useful for His purpose. That's why God can use anybody. He is not limited by man's imperfections.

Yes, he can use Peter as an example to teach biblical truths. That's Christianity. We are taught that even the mighty do fall. Therefore everyone must take herd lest he falls. No one should ever think he can be righteous by his own might.

You are yet to show where you are called to preach to Christians and/or correct the errors in Christianity from your plagiarisism book called Quran or from your prophet's hadith.

Know that if you cannot do this, you have introduced bidah to your religion. I await your response on this thread and other threads before we continue into your accusations

You are ignorant and needs to be schooled.

Be patient and be calmly schooled.
