"In Abia APC, there is no faction and no one has the right to call for an APC meeting that is unknown or not led by the State Chairman of the party." - Kalu

The former Governor of Abia State has come out as the courageous leader of APC in Abia to set the record straight and to also clear the air concerning a meeting called by APC Chieftains in the State.

Responding to questions asked by journalists, Kalu explained that APC has only one Chairman in Abia, who passed through electoral screening and he is the only who has the legitimate obligation to call for an APC meeting in Abia, and his office should be respected.

However, Kalu acknowledged that Chief Ogah has the right to call for his political structure meeting, but not an APC meeting. Kalu argued that there's no faction in Abia APC and he frowns at one who is talking about factions in the party. Whatever process or person that brought Ononogbu, is immaterial at the moment, what they are championing now is how to get the party as one formidable force, he said.

"Trying to explain what happened in Umuahia yesterday, is that we have only one Chairman, that went through the electoral process and that's Kingsley Ononogbu. Oga has the right to call for his political support group, not APC meeting. We don't want any faction again and this is what I am saying, and I discourage anybody from talking about faction.We have no faction in Abia, because the process is brought by Ikechi Emenike or brought by any other person, it does not make any meaning. Kingsley Onunegbu is the Chairman of the party and the National Executive Committee of the party has told me he is the Chairman of the party, and there's no other chairman, and I am saying Chief Uche Ogah has the right to call his political arm meeting, Abia Rejoice, or anybody, but not APC. This is what I am saying. I am not against him calling for any meeting, but I am saying APC is one party, and Kingsley Ononogbu is the Chairman for now." Kalu stated.

Furthermore, The Chairman Senate Committee on Privatization, Sen. Kalu, encouraged APC faithfuls in Abia to be more disciplined and find the best way to be highly united. He reiterated that he had no reservations towards anybody calling for his or her support group meeting, which is their fundamental human right, but was against anybody disrespecting led down authorities of the party.

"We must be disciplined and find our way to come together, and that's what I am saying. I wasn't against the meeting they called, I can never be against anybody calling the support group meeting inside our party, but I am against somebody calling APC factional meeting l, when there's a man, the process brought out as chairman of the party. So, please, get me right, and let us normalize that and grow immediately." Kalu noted
