Some basic terminologies frequently used in Treasury Bills:

OMO (Open Market Operations):
It is used either as an expansionary or as a contraction measure to control the amount of money in the financial system. When CBN buys from the OMO, funds are injected into the system in order to stimulate growth; while sale of OMO by CBN mops up excess funds from the system.

Yes most times it's like that. They have to restrict you from accessing the money. Till when everything is settled.

That way, you will no go and do another transaction like withdraw, purchase or transfer when you have already requested that they should use the money for investment. If it's not successful, it will be refunded after the auction and if successful, only your interest will be left.

I did that of 364. Usually by Thurs evening they would have debited, but nothing till now.

But I'm still hopeful

Pls based on the bond sell happening on Monday. Is it late to participate already like you have with TB.
And do investment houses like Meristem charge extra money if you wish to buy through them.If yes, like how much or percentage

Nothing o. Though my case is different. The guy in charge at my branch actually forgot to process the bids!!!. Yes o, na so I see am. He said he thought it was next week!! Was very pissed 😡😡 no one at my branch was successful 🥺

However I thought someone earlier said GT was successful for 365 days?

Hmm. If by now there is no debit then it's unlikely it went through. In my years of bidding with GT, debit usually occurs Thurs at most Friday morning, unless there is a holiday
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Mpeace(m): 8:26pm On May 10
First bank also did 363 days at 19.3% today.
I guess its from the last primary market auction.
