Sorry if too intrusive, which type of visa sponsorship do u have in mind as everything choke at the moment?
I'm looking forward to getting one myself

That one is not an issue for we student now.
The main issue is getting this school fees off.

She is extremely lucky with the job. Because I have many couples here that are still struggling to pay their fee of less than 19,000 pounds since two years now.... Those on two years program
I advise we plan the long term. What happens after graduation? How does one get to legally remain back in UK after school?
These are valid questions based on recent UK legislation as regards restrictions of sponsorship.
More especially for those still back home in Nigeria aspiring japa to UK.

You are right. For those still back home my advice is to stay away. Don't do any further application as chances to recoup ur expenses is slimmer and chances to even pay fees is 99% not possible once u are a student.

But the once currently in should just strive hard. Keep pushing and embrace post study to recover all or larger percentage of money so far invested.

What if this becomes the best decision you ever made?! There's no need to compare your life with what others are facing.
In Nigeria, some are facing financial difficulty while others are balling.

Have a backup plan. Don't put all your eggs in one basket and understand you can't go through life alone. Don't isolate yourself. Join the right club/association and surround yourself with like-minded people.

See you at the top!

Shalom!

Haa, for an average Nigerian to japa, u have to gather all eggs in a basket even borrow egg join. It is very capital intensive so u gather eggs everywhere, many will even sell the chicken.
Best is to do proper survey before commitment.

Small time they will tell u to be prayerful, to be hopeful. When things turn around bad then they said u failed because u are lazy.

Max student can work is 20hrs and this jobs are hardly seen. Why will someone now throw in almost 25+ million plus when u know there will be no dependant?

Even those that left without dependent previously even sold the slot 5m to 7m and use same to clear school fees after changing the money through form A

Anyone with such amount of money in Nigeria is definitely not a poor man.

There are Arab countries one can go if it's work visa they looking towards.

Leave education route for those that wish to school! Education is not cheap!!

These are not state-owned schools. How many people can afford to study in a private university in Nigeria?!

So sorry about your current situation. For all 28 days the funds needed must not be lower than each day's rate and then the rate on the date of submission is equally vital. in this case now calculate the difference and pay additional deposit to school and have them issue an updated CAS

Thank you William!
This is a fantastic idea! - Paying the additional deposit to the school.

Do the schools issue updated CAS? I thought CAS cannot be re-issued.

Thanks.

Simply pay more money to the school and provide evidence of that. If you pay more more into the account, you will need to count 28 days all over again. The visa officer checks the exchange rate on the day you submitted your visa form. No other date matters to them.

Hello @Cashmadam,

Thank you for this.
Do you mean that she would not need an updated CAS, and that a receipt of the additional payment would satisfy the visa officer?

Keep it up then tomorrow come and complain here that the UK is not favourable. Have you seen a foreigner doing POF to come to Nigeria?!

Better do a thorough risk assessment and know what you are getting yourself into. Can you survive without getting a job?!

Shalom!

Jeez, if you don't have an answer to his question don't reply. This forum is for UK visa inquiries, go open another forum "why you shouldn't come to the UK" and pour out your frustrations there. He isn't using your money for his Japa process.
We all read the news, people have family and friends who give them updates about UK and still people japa and still make it over there. If UK doesn't favor you, we have people who relocate to other countries or return back to NIgeria. If one gets deported...so what? How is it your business? If he struggles over there, e concern you? Save your advices for your family members who are in need of it. In the meantime, allow people who have concerns about their visa issues to get comfortable posting on this thread and people who have genuine answers can answer. This is what the thread is for. You have probably gotten your visa and have traveled and I'm sure people assisted you when you had questions.

Best you examine a profile next time before just jumping into a conversation without a parachute.

I never discouraged anyone but it was here people have been complaining about their predicament.

Tomorrow they will come to Nairaland and be putting blame on Agents and Influencers.

Nigerians hate hearing the truth.

If you cross-examine my post and what I stand for then you will understand you lack comprehension.

I need help.

Does it matter whose card is used on the TLS website? So if someone is paying for assisted services, can the person use a siblings card?

If they can, do they need to show any proof or anything?

Or it’s just pay for the service with a naira card and that’s all?

It doesn’t matter who is paying and no proof required as long as you made used of your email address, you will get a notification and receipt there.

Excited for your educational journey in the UK! Here's a little tip to save some money on train fares while you're there: consider booking split train tickets UK. It's a clever way to cut down on costs by purchasing multiple tickets for different legs of your journey, rather than one single ticket for the entire trip. You'll often find significant savings this way, especially on longer routes.

Hope this helps you make the most of your travels and your budget! Let me know if you need any more tips or advice.

Hello house, Please I’m applying for a UK student visa (September intake) and I’ve read couple pages on this thread but I want to clarify the step by step process till the Visa approval.

I already gained the admission and I just paid for the deposit ( awaiting CAS). I’d appreciate if anyone can put me through the necessary next steps so I can ride on without making mistakes and stay prompt. God bless yall

She will need an updated CAS. The receipt of payment should also be added. However, I know someone who didn't wait for updated CAS as it was taking too long. He submitted the receipt of payment - so we assumed the visa officer reached out to the school to confirm. Bottomline, he got the visa.

The UK as a Country prefers UK Degree or UK experience.

My advise for all those struggling in UK who cannot get a job with their Nigerian B.Sc or M.Sc is to get a UK Degree.

You can go back to University for a second M.Sc or even B.Sc.

And you will just pay £4000 as Tution fee becos they give a very huge discount.

You do not have to pay £15000-19000 as an International student.

All courses are available.

No IELTS
Just WAEC.
No Proof of Funds.

And the best part is you study online.

That's what most immigrants are doing now.

My sister is considering doing this. Please, what Do you or anyone else think about a top up degree in Early childhood studies? The goal is to get into Teaching, Counseling or social work.
