I used to think these guys don't leave their country at all

It's actually tough everywhere

LMFAO. Inferiority complex at play. No one said we don't travel. We are even in Nigeria, wherever there's SA interests, we are there. And we also love to tour. The difference between how you see travelling and how we see it, is that you see it as a way to escape your problems whilst we see it as a chance to explore and add more value to our own country. And you mass migrate and desperately at that, whilst we get job offers in.Sa or transfers and run back home when the contracts end instead of being a nuisance to these nations. You can't compare the two.

And yea, everywhere is tough, why does this even surprise you ? grin. You think Europe and the West at large are having a ball now grin

Thought you said we were all poor and therefore couldn't afford to travel grin grin. And you must know the difference between expatriates and immigrants.

You are shifting the goal post cheesy
The argument was, SA's economy is 101% ok, so we don't japa, now you are showing us pics of your country folks all around the world in search of greener pasture. What does that tell you?

You blame everyone without taking any accountability for the breakdown of relations where you are involved grin. Everyone is out to get you people and you are always victims. You can't fool me

Nigeria that can't conduct free and fair elections at home, diaspora vote will be a humongous disaster.
More reason to believe South Africa is way ahead of Nigeria in everything.
As you can see, after other African countries had waited for decades, trying to see if the giants of Africa would change but did not, they've simply left us behind and we lost the giants of Africa status. See what ordinary Gambia did in the recent presidential election. They don't even care about us anymore.

It begins with you and I. Shun bigotry when it comes to choosing a leader and all will be well

It's not an everyday occurrence like how Nigerians sell drugs and defraud South Africans on a daily and hourly basis. Xenophobic outbursts happen once every 5 years or so when people are fed up with the rampant criminality caused mainly by illegal migrants.
that's a SA way to justice ⚖️ system criminal code? Shame on you? If Nigerians are drugs pushers, your society SA are drug addicts and that make you people a very useless people who don't have control constituting manace

Do you know the difference between an expatriate community and a migrant one?.

Do you know the difference mass migration, illegal migration and travelling out for leisure, business and studies? grin

LMFAO. What is comical is that you can't show me the proof you claim is "littered " all over this forum grin grin. You so badly want to compare these people to those drowning in the Mediterranean sea to escape Nigeria, and deep down you know there's no comparison and that is what hurts you the most grin

How on earth did a thread of South Africans voting end up like this? lemme guess, bitter Nigerians saw the words "South Africa" and started insulting mindlessly, every thread with "South Africa" goes the same route

but you are the one "playing dumb" by running around the question I asked you.

Lionessza6:

You missed the point grin. Compare the numbers and the caliber of those likely to go abroad from both countries and you will see why we don't have the same reputation abroad. grin

pls what has the highlighted got to do with the comment you responded to

"wow...I thought that south africa has everything south africans need and they dont travel out of south africa to other countries for greener pastures. i thought travelling out was only a nigerian thing"

LMFAO. I imagined it all my friend. Forgive me. It was my SA jealousy and xenophobia acting up. Now move on , you were right, all that I said is baseless grin

I dont remember asking you if you have jealousy or xenophobia. the following are my inquiries.

your previous comment was a blanket generalisation
Lionessza6:
You're desperate to leave at all costs; these people aren't and you can hardly call those numbers "littering " grin....dramatic grin. We go to countries for business and when we are offered jobs as well as for studies and adventure not for "husling and hardworking purposes" grin. You won't find us in those boats , you won't find us being homeless or chased around by police like savages. Therein lies the difference.

how did you come to the conclusion that "the vast majority don't fall into this category"? can you give the statistics to support your claim?

what are the "a lot more problems" that we encounter"?

These ones want to legitimize excessive japaring by dragging South Africans into it. The difference is if Nigerians were granted a vote abroad very few would pitch coz they lack the proper documentation. Just shows SA's abroad are there for legitimate reasons.

Why can't we have diaspora voting? See South Africa showing us the way.
Hawusa lawmakers and their Siamese Yoruba counterparts have been blocking it because they know it will favor Igbo contestant since they already know that Igbos have the highest number of Nigerians in diaspora.

Their desperate efforts to suppress and keep Igbos down have kept Nigeria below par for decades yet they refused to have sense angry

There's a difference between travelling and emigrating. SA hardly emigrate , and we don't do illegal immigration and mass migration. The people you see there are either on business, students or working for the SA government not "hustlers or hardworkers ". That's why we don't encounter "discrimination, jealousy and hate from the lazy citizens of these nations ". We are welcomeable and responsible guests.

You know from time immemorial Igbos have always been called the wandering Jews, right? A lot of ethnic groups are still in Nigeria. They don’t really emigrate.

Instead of coming to a Nigerian forum to insult them, I think you should create a South African forum and post there. If you notice, Nigerians don’t really bring South African topics to this forum cos we are not interested in your affairs.
