'We got him!' Fugitive 'bomber' captured ALIVE after he was found hiding inside a BOAT in backyard of Boston home. Cops use flash-bang grenades and gas to flush out Dzhokar Tsarnev. A man believed to be the terrorist behind the Boston bombings is in custody after he was cornered in a boat in a Boston backyard and appears to be wounded but still alive. Boston police confirmed that an individual has been apprehended, taking to social media to announce, 'Suspect in custody. Officers sweeping the area. Stand by for further info.' The mayor of Boston, Thomas Menino, was quoted by the Boston Globe as taking to the police scanner, saying 'We got him'. Relieved law enforcement officers began cheering and clapping after the man, believed to be Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was arrested and is now on the way to either Mt. Auburn or Massachusetts General hospital for treatment for as-yet undetermined injuries. Mt. Auburn is the same hospital where the wounded Transit Police officer allegedly shot by Dzohkhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev is recovering from gunshot wound. And thousands of jubilant members of the public took to the streets of Watertown to salute FBI, SWAT, ATF and police officers as they left the scene of Tsarnaev's final showdown. Neighbors reported that he was 'covered in blood' as he was taken away by law enforcement officials. Boston police commissioner Ed Davis was celebratory in his tone as he took to Twitter to say, 'It’s a proud day to be a Boston police officer. It seems we are at the end of this madness. [b] A man believed to be the terrorist behind the Boston bombings has been cornered in a boat in a Boston backyard and appears to be wounded but still alive. Flash-bangs were being thrown in by police who had surrounded the area to try to flush out the suspect who appeared to have been at the location for most of the day. Gunshots were heard in Watertown, Massachussetts as police vehicles with flashing lights roared towards a house on a quiet street and bomb squad were on the scene. A Bearcat, a robotic device, was being sent in to check for explosives and tear gas being used. Police immediately reissued an alert to stay inside after earlier announcing that people could move about with caution. An ambulance was also at the scene as a helicopter flew overhead. CNN reported that individuals, including children, were being carried from the scene at around 7.30pm local time which is inside the perimeter that they had searched today. This American Police sometimes can fear. You have shot the kid, he is bleeding heavily. You have shot flash bangs on the boat to stun him. What are they waiting for to pounce on him. These officers should remember he is wanted alive. Don't let him bleed to death. FBI interviewed Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, for possible extremist ties two years ago but found no incriminating information. The FBI revealed on Friday that they had interviewed Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev in 2011, after a foreign government alerted officials that he had possible ties to extremists. Federal officials vetted Tamerlan Tsarnaev but their probe not produce any 'derogatory' information and the matter was put 'to bed,' a U.S. law enforcement source said. The revelation is the first indication that Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his younger brother, Dzhokhar, were known to U.S. security officials prior to Monday's bombings, U.S. authorities said. Suspect: Tamerlan Tsarnaev (left in 2010) was identified by the FBI as a main suspect (right in surveillance video on Monday) in the Boston Marathon bombings. He was killed by police on Friday Traditional values: While appearing like an all-American 20-something man, Tamerlan said in an earlier interview that he is a devout Muslim who does not drink and upholds traditional values The government that asked for the investigation was not identified but security experts have speculated that Russia could have issued the request, based on fears that Tamerlan had links to Chechen extremists. Based on FBI procedure, it is likely investigators performed a background check on Tamerlan and discussed his behavior and international travel with other agencies. CBS News believes officials would have called Tamerlan in for a sit-down interview and their findings would have been compiled into a report and sent to the requesting government. 3kay945: Are they Muslims Yes, according to report, they are/were. I trust my sweet Naija askari, the boat owner and everyone on that street are in trouble by now. That's even if the police cares about the bombers and don't complain about their unpaid salaries. They would have arranged some explosives and guns in front of him and paraded him as their sponsor. In USA, Two bombings in a location on Monday, On Thursday noon during interfaith service, American president: "We will get you, you picked a wrong city" Thursday night, bombers were stormed and captured dead and 1/2 alive. In Nigeria, Multiple bombings in various parts of a state on Monday, On weekend (Saturday night after leaving presidential banquet), Nigerian president: "We know them, we know their names, we are on top of the matter" Till heaven comes, no face appears on screen as the suspect(s). I.Joan: How would the FBI function in Nigeria, shey them go use juju ni? FBI are not magicians, they need electricity, CCTV, cars fitted with on board scanning and data devises, supercomputers, forensic technology, communication devices etc A tall order in Nigeria.
