Cost Analysis For 1,000 to 3000 Poultry (layers) Capacity & Feed Mill In Nigeria by Ade3000yrs(m): 1:35am On Jul 31, 2016 |
Feeding cost has always been a subject of contention in the operating cost of a poultry project; for those into 1000 birds farm capacity or more and would love to cut feed cost by 60% to 70% with an innovative alternative formula visit https://winterbaker.com/?p=878 Instead of feeding 1,000 birds with #500,000 naira monthly, it is very much possible to expend #62,000 to #72,000 naira monthly for the same course which is just between 12% to 15% of the regular monthly feeding cost of #500,000 naira. Re: Cost Analysis For 1,000 to 3000 Poultry (layers) Capacity & Feed Mill In Nigeria by tripleace(m): 8:33pm On Mar 19, 2017 |
Nice work. Please apply caution on your running cost in relation to you expected revenue. It is assumed that 200 bird will consume a 25kg bag so do the maths. Underfeeding will delay your birds from reaching peak and your production might not be stable as your bird will not lay until they have consumed the right quantity for them to lay. I wish you the best 3 Likes |

mecuzee:This is another experienced fellow and voice in the poultry business. u speak of the truth my brother, the layers venture is a good one "But" it only favours those with sufficient financial muscle to go into it big time say with a minimum of #20 million naira for a minimum of 5000 birds with an average daily egg out put of 166 crates per day or you go solo with an experimental scale of 500 layers with a budget of #3 million naira capable of 16 crates of egg output per day, so know you can draw your corresponding chart to see how well and profiting your layers business pays off or its just a reap off compare to broiler or cockerel production of less than #3 million naira for 2000 broilers production in 8weeks to 16weeks. Now compare this to the cost needed to fishery, snailery, rabbit, grasscuter geese, ruminants, turkey, and piggery production and the availability of your prospect market with the market analysis in focus before you resolve on which one to venture into. The broiler and turkey market is still very much at large untap and a few into it are the ones making a kill of the venture as long as you have a license for slaughter house and cold room or blast freezers for production and storage of Chicken drumsticks, full chicken, chicken chest, chicken lap, chicken wings, gizzards, turkey wings, turkey laps, poultry head and legs and poultry intestine for raw protein supply use as substitute for animal protein supply used in fishery. Also the legs and head of poultry is a great recipe or menu in the dog food supply chain with prospect from dog breeders. Also dont forget that a bag of feed is now between #4,250 naira and #4,350 naira as we have the Ordinary Starter feed, Super Starter feed, The grower feed, and The finisher feed so the week of the birds and type of birds determine the type of feed to be recommended. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Story!!! Do your calculations the revenue is 302.400 if a farmer spend up to that in feeding then what's the gain huh?? Go give your quotation to the gods. As a igbo girl we do more calculation.. If the feeding is up to that no gain then...bro will you only feed the layers for just one month? Think before u type

Re: Cost Analysis For 1,000 to 3000 Poultry (layers) Capacity & Feed Mill In Nigeria by adisabarber(m): 8:34am On Jun 22, 2018 |
Mmkgroup5: The basic mathematics I ask people that ask me how profitable my poultry business is to do is simple. I have 350 layers. I feed them 2 bags daily and they give me 10 crates of eggs daily which I sell for 750 per crate. 2 bags of feed is 6000 daily which they have been eating since like 15 weeks. Now, a farmer will not just say he's making profit of 1500 daily cos he needs to calculate all the feed he gave the hens before they started laying at all. By the time my hens stop laying, the money I spent on raising them till they started giving 10 crates will be realized from the sale of old layers. If people make so much profit from laying hens why will people still be selling old layers for 1200 and not just 500 naira to create space quickly? There is money in poultry business but it should not be seen as a get rich quick venture. 5 Likes |
