Nigeria phenomena and distiguished Award event, the prestigious "Democracy Heroes Award" has recognised the outstanding performance of leaders across divers sectors in Nigeria. The eventful ceremony witnessed the decoration and honour of eminent Nigerians like Governor A.A Sule, Nasarawa State Governor, Governor Fayemi, Ekiti State Governor Dr. Ramatu Tijani, FCT Minister of State, Dr. Babatunde Fowler, FIRS Chairman, Mrs. Olufolake Abdulrazaq, Kwara State First Lady, Shina Peller Hon Bago, Akinremi, Akin Alabi, Obanikoro, Steve Asaiki, Small Alhaji, Alhaji Musa Halilu the Dujima of Adamawa and other reputable Awardees.

The Award was held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on the 16th of October 2019 and has been described as one of the most well attended Award occasion in Abuja this year. The event recorded the presence of distinguished personalities in governance, entertainment industries and icons across several national sectors.

According to the Principal Partner, who spoke with journalists shortly after the occasion, he congratulated all the Award recipients who were honoured at the event and encouraged them to remain focused, determined and dedicated to the growth and development of the nation's democracy.

However, some of the Award recipients expressed gratitide to the organisers of the 7th Edition of Democracy Heroes Award. According to the FCT Minister of State Dr. Ramatu Tijani Aliyu, who dedicated her Award to President Muhammadu Buhari, who she called her Father and Mentor, she appreciated the honour, stressing that it will encourage her to do more so as to maintain an increased pace in the advancement of our nations democracy.

The prestigious Democracy Heroes Award is organised annually to recognised and encourage democracy in Nigeria. Over the years the prestigious award has honoured great leaders cuttinv across Prestidents, Senators, Executive Governors, Honourable Ministers, Business Moguls, Celebrities and active contributora to the growth and development of Nigeria Democracy.
