If you really desire a long lasting fragrance that lasts for days. Then go for Joop! For men. My girlfriend bought that for me when she went shopping in San Francisco, CA about 2 years ago and ever since I have been wearing it. Love the smell. I heard someone mention Imperial Majesty. Did you hear about that from someone or what ? Only a few quantity of Imperial Majesty was manufactured. It is the most expensive perfume ever manufactured. It is in the line of products from Clive Christian. I think about 13 or so bottles have been produced. It costs $215,000 a bottle! So what the heck ?

Absolutely love it, I am not particular about the 1st notes of this perfume but that quickly passes away and in its place a dry spicy and intoxicating fragrance that is not overly masculine but there is NOTHING feminine about it.
To me its what a man who is confident,powerful yet sensitive and cute should smell like.
No wonder i got this for Hubby and he gets comments of what perfume is that loads?

OP. If you are looking for fragrances with excellent longevity,try Montale- black oud [/b]and serge luten- [b]chergui (they are

very expensive, I have to warn you) for the reasonably priced alternatives. . . joop and Thiery Mugler- angel men. good luck

@poster, what you should know is that eau de cologne does not last no matter the name.

If you want a fragrance that lasts go for eau de parfum or better still parfum.

The name has nothing to do with how long it lasts. The name only identifies the fragrance note - woody,floral, musky, fruity etc.

While I agree with your point, that's not the only factor.

Other factors come into play here such as the season and weather intensity, quality of ingredient and note composition

for example. fragrances recommended for the warmer period of the year or sunnier climate (dior eau sauvage, Bulgari Aqua et al) are usually less potent

than the winter fragrances for one obvious reason (fragrances project better in the heat i.e the need to reduce the intensity of summer frags)

as already mentioned, the quality of ingredient- (natural vs synthetic) and certain notes such as oud, sandalwood often affects the longevity of a fragrance.


bottom line - If you want a cologne that last longer, stay clear of the sporty summer frags. or better still follow queenesthr suggestion and buy

Since 2007, i have been using FM (Federicco Mohora) exclusively. I just take 6 sprays in the morning before leaving for work around half past 6 in the morning. During lunch at work, i play table tennis intensively and sweat like sheet. By the time i get home in the evening around 7pm, the perf still smells on me. I live in lagos and believe me, lagos can be hot at times.

Is anyone familiar with BLACK by Kenneth Cole? How much does an original bottle sell for? If you want an effect of about 12 hours on you, like how many puffs do you need to spray on? I expect it to be much cos its an eau de toilette and not eau de parfum. This means that the concentration of the fragrance will be about 10% as such if one needs a 12 hr effect, he may need an excess of 10 puffs. Is this true?

I really like the smell though but i need to know if its long lasting. Pleasant smell and lingering effect are my requirements in selecting a perfume. Please guys, kindly help a bro out. Thanks

CK eternity is really nice, one of few traditional names people still hold on to
Christian Dior is a Gentleman's fragrance, its nice and lasts but like you said, its subtle all day long
