asorocker: ObJ sure had his Igbo chaps only how they used this connection may be different. Emeka Ofor is one of them. One of the Ubas who almost single handedly impeached a governor is another . These two held the whole country to ransom and almost brought down their state which made Achebe turned down the national honor . Nwayawun of Champion Newspaper is another ObJ boy. Sure the Igbos have their fare share of OBJ. The truth is, Dangote never really started to be a wealthy man until he started manufacturing. You cannot get to the level he is if all you do is buying and selling. When the machines are humming, the dollars roll in. |

Princek12: God bless you my brother. Though I acknowledge the guy is rich but if judging things from the right angle, the guy shouldn't be on the list. 90% of Nigerians can be on the lists if they are given the same chance this guy have. He got his money through political means. How can only one man be autorized to import foreign rice during Abacha regime. How can 99% of cement factories closed down and his own was left alone? Or should we talk of floor. Like I said, give everyone equal chance and believe it or not, dangote won't smell Forbe's list. He may not be any governor or president but he is contributing to unemployment in Nigeria. |

Princek12: I see. Only an incompetent, deluded, unaccomplished jealous businessman/ethnic group blames his tool. You sure know how to blame other people for your stupidity. Yoruba this, Hausa that, when will Ndigbo ever assume responsibility for their failure. To each his own! |

kalokalo: Until you understand how these companies work, you won't feel comfortable to lift your head and narrate the same thing you just mention above. I don't know how to explain it to you. What is happening in Nigeria is similar to the documentary called "FOOD INC". Watch it. I believe it will give you some overview of how things are done omo9ja1: That is the only reason I respect that guy better than all others. He is Nigeria Chinese Version |

fstranger3: You are a raccoon. Why do you have to resort to personal attacks? Because you cannot coherently raise a reasoned response to an assertion. You were the one who brought in tribalism in the argument by suggesting Dangote is smarter than the Ibo people. I just made a general statement about how the lack of antitrust laws and nepotism has made him monopolize the markets he controls, a valid argument. You are a big fool. |

@fstranger the fact that i said something in defence of the igbos doesn't mean i am one. i am from sw OKAY .this is the kind of nigeria we are talking of.A nigeria were someone can say the truth irrespective of tribe or religion and show respect for someones tribe and religion.i pity ur parents cos they think they have child not knowing they gave birth to a he goat, a dummy dumbdumb, a dondy, niconpoop, scalyone, agbero, nonentity, barger, born by mistake, introvert, idiot, fool and above all a nuisance to the society and large. oops i forgot that we are in lent . |

PROUD-IGBO: I can just picture you looking sullen all day long like a hen, from George Orwell's Animal farm, depressed that an Ibo man is not on the list. As if it detracts from the creativity and superiority of the Yorubaman and Hauseman over all of Alaigbo indigenes, home and abroad, including the ones ensconced in the ancestral land of the Ibos, Isreal. |

I see some ignorance / misconception on this thread. There is no product that Dangote sells in which he is a 'monopoly'. If dangote has a monopoly in, say flour, what happened to Flour Mills of Nigeria(Nigeria's biggest miller), Honeywell flour mills, BUA flour, Crown flour mills, Northern Nigeria flour mills, Lister mills? @ kalokalo , did you really post that, me I no really yap Dangote ooo. Do some research and not just write what is on the surface bro, Anyone who thinks Dangote has not benefited 99.5% from monopolistic policies must be kidding or some sort. I had my bro working @ Customs and Excise a few years back and he used to sigh, cos there was instruction 4rm the Presidency that Dangote should not pay import duty on all his business imports for a very long period of time. Abacha instructed and it went on for a long time, This is just one of the very many Dangote has benefited from,, we also have the stock exchange saga of price irregularities at the xpexpencef Ndidi Okere bigging up your share price while she gains at the end, We are all not Blind you know, Yes he has achieved some greatness but not without the help of the Government, Trust me on this, He his a BIG Fish no one can take on like Microsoft a few years back, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet the Top rich guys of the world are giving back to Africa in Millions /Billion helping us to solve our very own problem Malaria, I hope Dangote is doing his own bit, No point gaining the world and all around you is dying, Goodluck to him and congrats as well. The Forbes List though is highly influenced as well anyway, not really a White paper yard stick to measure wealth. |

lucenzo: Well, what can I say. Just because I speak the truth doesnt mean I am I am not Igbo, okay. I am from the SE, Arochukwu Igbo to be specific. My father is Delta Igbo, my mother, Isreali Igbo. So next time get your facts straight okay. The other thing is that you need to enroll in a night school. You are a disgrace to everyone that has ever taught you .Your writing ability is beyond embarrassing. My five year old nephew just saw your post and couldnt believe you are as old as you claimed. He asked me to tell you that you should try and improve small ok. After seeing your post, he is gutted to be a Nigerian. |

d bigrod: From the list Aliko Dangote is ranked 51 amongst the lot(1140) Now Lagos was ranked amongst the thousands of cities in the world and came 96th. Logically, if we are all commending Aliko for this feat then I deem it appropriate to see Lagos in same light. |

Now, run and go buy your night school form before its too late. An Ibo mind is a terrible thing to waste. Again, from my five-year old nephew to you: Try and improve small, |
