When you become president go and appoint people that don't speak your language to head the army and brigade of guards, to those complaining of what seems like Yoruba nepotism. If an Igbo man becomes president he will appoint his kinsmen too, just like Buhari just like all other presidents. This is Nigeria Africa not UK or the US.

Why do you display illiteracy everywhere on nairaland like this. Do you know that the position of DIG of police is equivalent to a major general of the army?

By the way the constitution does not say that the position of the ONSA is reserved exclusively for a retired military officer, it just happens that previous government have been doing so for whatever reason(s) which has not been effective.

Someone have decided to deviate from the norm and watch as you see him (Ribadu) perform.

Who are military chiefs ? Even a national security adviser can be a civilian? A national security is just an expert in security and intelligence, a national security adviser does not command generals he coordinates and briefs the president. DIGs have being national security advisers in the past. That is how i know you are not a true Nigerian. You know nothing about the history of your country, it is a shame.
