The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has taken Google to court arguing that the internet giant engaged in deceptive behaviour regarding their ads. The ACCC has taken issue with the prospect of someone searching for a particular company but an advertisement for a competitor popping up, instead of the desired company. The Federal Court ruled that Google is responsible for the ads because they created and published them. The ACCC has history with bizarre rulings, but this has lead many to scratch their heads.
