Yes, I just noticed it too but it doesn't seem to be general. It's seems it's only Wapco. If so, then it could be deliberate.

Is tree a human being? Even the context of that passage is totally different from your explanation (It symbolizes his judgment on those who appear outwardly religious but lack genuine faith and produce no spiritual fruit) If you like, abuse me, I don't care. When it comes to Christianity, let us learn to speak the truth. Do have a nice day.
I agree with you. Jesus is sovereign.. we are not. Jesus knows why He cursed the fig tree and he need not justify or explain his actions to us.. When James and John wanted Christ to send lighting/thunder to strike those who rejected the gospel, Jesus rebuked them

The $215m loan was for the acquisition of Ughelli Power Plant. As at 2022, they had $1.6m outstanding.
The "...full and final loan repayment was made January 9, 2024..."

This means ALL ForEx income can be used for upgrading the business.

They currently have a target of 25% of the energy need of Nigeria (they currently generate 12%)... wink

Xidget:
I read somewhere that they paid off $215million acquisition loan. (I don't have link) I guess that's what is getting itvsone attention.

Wapco has declared dividend o and it is not pleasant

Oga Emma is the winner here.

And now Forex rate is going down, price of the actual buyout may also be affected negatively for investors.

I still have a few units left and will wait.

In addition, the buyout will be determined by the SP over a 6-month period

When others talk the moniker will claim he has right to vilify or validates but when others do that he get emotional and start throwing stones, I will not come down to your level as I'm no known with that kind of behavior.

He actually wanted me to talk about ellahlakes but I did the opposite so that he would said he mean no harm with the statement.
grin grin

Now to ellahlakes you want to hear about.

The author of 100 bagger said and I quote for you to Identify a 100 bagger stock you have to be a "reductionist" he continues and said, you have to see it before it start showing in the books, he also highlighted the characteristics of a 100 bagger n one of it was it will be beyond common sense, many will oppose it because of common sense and that is where I see ellahlakes this our friend want to kill himself on, when nobody is forcing him to buy.

Take it or leave it, ellahlakes is an 100 baggerdom it possessed almost all the characteristics of a 100 baggerdom highlighted by the writer of the book.

You will only be able to figure this out only if you understand the business behind the stock.

New owners want to preserve cash which is expected, but with potential FY results they could have easily paid even N2

How can new owners want to preserve the cash of a company that they are yet to own, which they negotiated at 2023 value and then because of that want to partake/ share in profit made in 2024 when they are yet to pay/take over?

it is only here that such happenssssss

Means you're not a born again Christian.
Jesus has come to repeal and abolish some old testament believes.......said they were given such laws because of the stiffness of their hearts.
All the commandments has now been grouped under 2 royal laws as seen in Matt 22:36-40....
Love the Lord thy God and, love your neighbor as yourself.
Make una dey read your Bible very well o, especially New Testament which talks more about the gospel of Christ. 😊

Person wey talk say amadioha go kill am (no be me)..wey talk say him go decapitate himself (not me)... He can't validly claim to be a Christian (either nominal or born again) by any stretch of the imagination grin

There is a share purchase agreement in place since 1 December 2024.

Invariably, this implies that the incoming owners will have a say in certain matters affecting the company (especially financials)...

If you were HUAXIN, you won't really leave HOLCIM to unilaterally decide the DIV payout, would you? smiley

the purchase document shared when the news broke specifically has a condition that stated that value at negotiation (Dec 2023) would be maintained.

so how is value created after 2023 should be there concern.

The valuation of the company is still between N102 and N150 per share.
I will see the end of the transaction. No value for me elsewhere in the market and even outside of that I believe in the long term prospects of the company

Please check the document again.
EBITDA of FY 2023 was used to arrive at an enterprise valuation for the company. The debts and cash as at Sept 2024 was also considered.
That is why a clause was included to audit Q1-Q3 or FY 24 before the EGM will be called...

At the bolded, they are buying a business. It is different from buying a single item off the shelf. (I hope someone can explain better though)

Interesting. Could you please explain this cyclical pattern in the price of oil palm a bit more for those of us who don't know that market well? Specifically:
When does the harvest season start/end?
Why do prices peak in January?
How much does the price change from low to peak?
Do wholesale prices change as much as retail ones?

Thanks!

crownprince2017:
It's now very clear that you know nothing about this oil business but common sense should tell you that we are in palm harvest season.
What happen last year interm of price of oil is once in a blue moo, I can also boast to you that the peak of price of oil happened in January which is yet to reflect in the book of presco, watch out for the q1 results. It doesn't mean its not profitable, oil will continue to be profitable for the next 20 years looking at supply and demand data worldwide.
