King Jehoshaphat was a man who loved and obeyed God.He had a good rating before God.All was well and everything was going on well with him.Den all of a sudden,three powerful kings gathered together and said he and his people would be their next target for breakfast.Like any of us,he was hit by an arrow of fear but he handled d situation so well dat he got victory (2 Chronicles 20:1-4). We ought 2 learn one or two lessons from him.D first thing 2 note in obtaining sound victory is 2 identify d problem.Dere is need 2 know exactly what you are up against and what led 2 it.It is commonly said dat a problem well known is already half solved.Dis is true.If you are walking on a street and dere are gunshots,a good number of people will not pause 2 determine where d gun shots are coming from: dey will just start 2 run even if dey are heading from safety into d danger zone. King Jehoshaphat clearly identified his problem.He knew d kings were coming 2 invade Judah.He knew d kings and also why dey were coming.When you receive an attack,do you go 2 God 2 find out where it is coming from and why? If you do not carry out a detailed situational analysis of d problem,you may not be able 2 apply d correct solutions.Dis is where Paul is different.He says when he fights he does not punch the air like many of us do.In other words,he would have identified d problem and it's nature before throwing punches,which is one reason he was always victorious.If d problem is not identified,you might end up fighting d wrong person.One of my sons was about 2 enter his office while exchanging pleasantries with some people and he banged his right knee hard against d door.It was so bad dat he had 2 stay still.While in pains he asked,'Lord,why?' And d Lord said,'Why have you abandoned d assignment I gave 2 you?
