barcanista: Allow them to rant and whine. During the Civil War, two men stood tall:Is it possible that Adekunle planned the events that led to Boro's death as a scheme to take all the credits of the successes of the division at the time and permanently disconnect Boro's relationship with Federal headquarters? Hear Obasanjo again: "At the entrance to my office (Adekunle's former office) there was a warning signboard ' Enter at the pain of Death'... I removed the notice and flung it some fifty metres..." http://www.gamji.com/article4000/NEWS4657.htm |

A great hero indeed. So great a hero was he,he was relieved of command in the midst of battle by his Commander-in-chief n quietly eased out of the military. No fanfare,no pulling out parade, nothing. So great a hero that while his compatriots, rightly or wrongly, were being lauded n feted by the Nigerian contraption,he was relegated to an almost-footnote of the annals of the Civil war. A great hero indeed was he he started getting his just rewards right within a decade of cessation of hostilities, lived wretchedly the rest of his days n died wretched n unsung by the federation in whose behalf his heroics were performed. Benjamin Maja Adekunle, may the rest of your deserved rewards overwhelm you in the hereafter. |

lakpalakpa: Niger-Deltans were saved from becoming Biafran slaves. You're right. Elechi Amadi and other Niger Deltan that called for the creation of more regions that led to the creation of 12 states including Rivers and South Eastern states from the defunct Eastern Region, were able to come out of the hiding when Adekunle liberated Port Harcourt. |
