GoldenPenny:Depends on what you want to do after school. The 3 are good courses. But i "suggest" u go for medical biochemistry. It's the most versatile among the 3, and i bet you know what that means? |

GoldenPenny:welcome!.. What i mean by the course being versatile is that it covers so many areas of life, if not all. And you can probably work anywhere and anyhow. Let me not over hype it shaa. Just check my account, you'll see a post of mine abt biochemistry. |

In addition it is a lucrative course and you could have more job opportunities than any of the other two courses. You can also work in hopitals, research institutes, etc |

GoldenPenny: Please don't go for any of them! If you want to do a medical related course either choose medicine & surgery, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing or medical laboratory science. These courses train you to be a functional part of the healthcare delivery system Anatomy, physiology & medical biochemistry are all under the basic medical sciences. The primary focus of these courses is research. The only thing they teach you how to do is research (you are trained to be a medical research scientist). its not a bad thing though, but considering the present economic realities in nigeria and the current trends in the nigerian labour market, its advisable for you to go for a professional undergraduate course (like the ones I listed above). If you don't mind having a career as a research scientist in nigeria then you can go for any of them, but don't allow yourself to come under the delusion that you'll be employed to be part of the healthcare delivery team with a bsc in any of these courses. |
