For goodness sakes! What is wrong with Nigerians? How do you benefit and how does the country benefit just because a person from your own tribe is the president? Shouldn't competence be more important? I don't understand this kind of primitive thinking. How can the country move forward when so many people think like this? 7 Likes |

Same old tactics of using tribalism to win votes. I earlier thought Jonathan would improve but the use of Boko Haram and religious antagonism by his aides like Olisa Metu and Fani Kayode made me see the bigger picture. His continued stay in power will remain full of bloodshed and corruption. 3 Likes |

bxcode:if they think so, must u always behave like them. Jst name how many notherners came into power via popular vote? Or are trying to use coup to justify their penchant for power? Aguiyi Ironsi came via coup , too. If ibo no like power, why did ojukwu instigated war? |

Why do some Igbos castigate Igbos that support Buhari? |
Re: . by FKO81(m): 11:07am On Jan 20, 2015 |
Clerverly:One in a million During the war (Nigeria civil war) some Igbos where among Nigeria soldiers same with Biafra, some Nigeria was recruited under Biafran soldiers, in politics it's a different ball game, Nigeria politics its all about individual and collective interests, the same way Amaechi, Adams, Rochas are fighting for political relevance and individual inerests in APC, the same Yaro, Darkingari,Dankwambo etc are fighting for their own in PDP, I'm not expecting 100% compliance from Igbos 2% is insignificant, just bear it in mind that both parties will rig, the highest rigger will win the election and PDP Control 22 states plus FCT and APGA, You saw how ACN rigged Obanikoro's son out from Eti-osa lga Lagos state, politics is not played online or through propaganda . We will count the miles after the race. 1 Like |

Thank God SS and SE votes alone won't be enough to return GEJ as President, if not our own for don finish for dis contry. |
Re: . by size38: 11:18am On Jan 20, 2015 |
Does the writer realised how useless GEJ's govt is to us from the south-south? Of what use is a father's riches if the children cannot benefit from it? This is d situation of GEJ's govt. to the people of south-south. Also, does the writer think that votes from the south-south and south- East alone can make GEj win election? When GEJ, his wife, Edwin clark, Asari Dokubo and many others in his region were making all kinds of hate statements against other tribes in Nigeria, we warned them but they never listened. Make frnds for GEJ and not enemies. |
Re: . by bokohalal(m): 11:21am On Jan 20, 2015 |
WisdomFlakes:Ol ' boy, can you imagine tribe and religion as issues in Nigerian politics? I taya. The truth is ,at the state level, such people will practice same. They are closed to reason. I am glad I am from a progressive family. We are married and domiciled across Nigeria. Who wan hang, go ahead. Sai Buhari! |
Re: . by Princewill1(m): 11:24am On Jan 20, 2015 |
OP CALM DOWN! No cause for alarm!! The people you are talking about in SE\SS are in the tiny minority, they will not even secure 5% votes for Buhari. SE\SS will give BLOCK votes to GEJ. Mallam Rochas who is from the lineage of Usman Dan Fodio AND Rotimi Amaechi the Driver General of Buhari Campaign Organisation can not do anything about it. The opinions of Apc paid E-touts here shouting that they are from SE\SS are not taken seriously. Op chill I'm typing from the east no cause for alarm!! 1 Like |
