Not Nigeria but Western Nigeria. That was the beauty of regional government. Each region developing at its pace. And Pa Awo who had the interest of the people at heart gave them that legacy that had given the western Nigeria and edge above every other region. Today, the free education had been bastardized and become a conduit pipe for stealing public funds. Why would government declares free education and would not pay the teachers for upward of 2months, no leave grant allowance for 2013&2014, no promotion arrears since 2009 till date, etc? This is the self deceit we live in in Akwa Ibom state. |
