Revealed: Troops uncover France-based NGO linked to Boko Haram, kill terrorists with ID card

A France-based non-governmental organisation, Première Urgence Internationale, working alongside Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists has been uncovered by Nigerian troops.

With headquarters in Asnieres-sur-Seine on the suburbs of Paris, Première prides itself as an “international NGO which helps civilians who are marginalised or excluded as a result of natural disasters, war and economic collapse.”

The self-acclaimed humanitarian group first gained access to Nigeria in 2016, setting up activities in various complementary domains in order to respond to the vulnerable populations’ needs in the north-east.

However, a recent revelation by the gallant troops has suggested otherwise as the group has only succeeded in fuelling insurgency in the region.

Like many other foreign NGOs, instead of providing aid to the returning inhabitants following massive clearout by the resilient troops on the frontline, Première acted as a rehab centre for the utterly wounded and defeated fighters.

A Boko Haram terrorist, with an identification card belonging to Première, was on Sunday night killed by the troops in Gubio, Borno State.

Adam Idris Kubo, as displayed on his ID, works with the French NGO as a Pharmacist.

This has somewhat vindicated the Nigerian Army’s decision to shut down two foreign groups – Action Against Hunger and Mercy Corps and justified the call by some local civil society organisations to ban these international NGOs.

The Nigeria Military is just dividing the attention of Nigerians. Funny enough PUI is not carrying out any activity in Gubio grin.

1) Should we shutdown our military activities because ISWAP attacks and seize several gun trucks and Ammo?

2) The Military/Government ain't happy with us because most Humanitarian workers are telling Nigerians the TRUTH ABOUT THE ONGOING WAR especially in Northern Borno axis?

3) NGOs are working along with ISWAP when we have 5 Humanitarian workers in captivity?

4) A Humanitarian Organisation was shutdown because Government ISWAP attacked a location and carted away food worth millions of naira, but in that same attack over 15 Soldiers were killed and ISWAP took 3 Military branded Hilux.

5) Well the ISWAP war has come to stay I only feel sorry for the number of young handsome soldiers i see dying daily in Northern Borno.

6) Till date ISWAP roams freely in Kukawa, Marte, Abadam,Magumeri, Gudzamala and Baga. Till date the Military arrest those moving fish around the northern axis, but the Military cannot reclaim Baga town till date. Even Gajiram in Nganzai that was a bit safe is now becoming ISWAP new found love.

Dear Nigerian Military ISWAP does not need to work alongside with NGOs just to get foodstuffs, ISWAP can attack any town in Borno north and cart away food.

Dear Nigeria Military it was not NGOs who finished over 300 Military personnel of operation last hold, it was not NGOs who dislodged you guys in Baga, it was not NGOs who carried out the Kukawa attack, It was not NGOs who carried out the Attacks in Metele and Zari, It is not NGOs who pushed you guys out of Gajiram, Gajiganna and Tungushe.

Well you guys can continually carryout your Onslaught on Hunanitarian workers while ISWAP moves freely in Borno north. Currently all the Cattle routes in Borno north have become ISWAP movement paths.

God Bless our Gallant Soldiers

God Bless Nigeria

The JF-17’s primary beyond-visual-range (BVR) armament is the PL-12 missile, which is still undergoing integration (as of February 2019)

But yet Pak had us believe it was all suited for BVR warfare already grin
Well, not like it's a priority.

Update on the Pharmacist ID

The pharmacist is alive, he was just one of the victims of Tungushe's attack where he left his bag in a vehicle and ran into to Bush and spent the night there and Luckily enough the first thing he did on the following day was reporting the issue to the Ibrahim Taiwo police station. But this is what we were seeing today on the media.

Isn't it possible that NGOs could be working with the terrorists? You as a person working with a NGO in the North East could unknowingly be a pawn in a clandestine game going on in that theater of war. Some NGO workers were kidnapped and the only way to keep them alive is the NGO to supply the terrorists with drugs and food before the final negotiations and release of the workers, this here is just an assumption. Coincidentally, at that time that the military closed up a NGO, workers were executed by the terrorist, this is not an assumption. We all know that in wars NGOs play a necessary part and have access to people invloved in conflicts, they are some times also used in subversion too. @SamuelAnyanwu, anything is possible in war.

Frankly speaking I always liked the bird especially the F version, no fuss no muss

Other than their organic firepower capability

One of their main utility lies in their ability to act as forward fire controllers for indirect line of sight weapons like mortar , artillery , rockets etc.

Allows to lay down accurate firepower on a massive scale from the first round itself at standoff distances. Enables the rear guard support troops to break up enemy assault through accurate mortar , artillery , rocket barrage etc and relieves the pressure off the forward troops in direct contact with the hostiles.

This is a classic example of air ground combined arms synergy for max effect.

I'm really waiting for the MD 969 NOTAR! Rotor less, twin engine and faster, more powerful it verges on a medium weight. Its MDs response to US Army FARA,Future Attack Recon Aircraft.

That will give MD three in-production military helicopters: the 530F Cayuse Warrior with a gross takeoff weight of 3,750 pounds, the 530G with a takeoff weight of 3,950 pounds and the twin-engine 969 with 6,770 pounds of payload capacity at an empty gross weight of 3,350 pounds.

“That means a lot of weapons, a lot of mission equipment and it’s all under $15 million, which really gives us a niche in the light attack space,” Tilton said.

If it performs as the other variants usually do I expect this variant to be in Aircav colours within a decade. It has a strange never before seen internal Common Launch Tube allowing for higher payload while its internal space is also larger.

Made of composite materials, the fuselage offers greater strength to weight ratio. The helicopter features two sliding cabin doors providing a 1.3m-wide entrance space on each side.

The cabin offers a volume of 4.8m³ and can accommodate up to eight members. It also houses a machine gun to compliment fire support missions.

Ever seen that? I know I haven't! It launches drones and PGMs.

The new 969 will cruise at 160 knots and sprint at 180 knots, which puts it at the threshold speed requirement for the U.S. Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA). Based on the 969, the company is developing a winged variant that uses MD’s no-tail-rotor (NOTAR) technology that will fly at up to 200 knots, squarely in the Army’s desired capability range
https://www.rotorandwing.com/2019/03/06/md-hypes-new-winged-swift-variant-969-armys-new-attack-recon-aircraft/

All these systems should be approved by end of 2019.

Although I'll blame the Pharmacist for travelling late. Always ensure you arrive Maiduguri before 4pm. ISWAP moves freely on the highways from 4pm crossing from one community to another on that Maiduguri-Monguno road

Someday the Military might find his laptop in the hands of ISWAP and immediately carryout its onslaught on his organisation for collaborating with ISWAP

the Russian R-77 missiles cannot engage targets past 80 km

Let me comment of the technical matters

The one portion I quoted is wrong more or less

R77 can target beyond 80 km

That depends on the launch conditions like

1. Launch altitude - the range of missile increases and correspondingly kinematic performance increases when launched in a look down mode ie the target is at a lower altitude and the launch platform is a relatively higher altitude.

2. Target lock robustness - onboard radar chances to generate positive radar lock increases in look down shot down mode and results in the generation of a high kill probability firing solution.

Any BVR in a long shot needs to guided to the target short of the terminal range of the onboard seeker when the BVR missile itself acquires the target lock for independent engagement . If the launch aircrafts target lock is intermittent or weak enough to be broken the BVR missile shot fails.

3. RoE - it is not directly related but still a factor on the range. It depends on the operational doctrines of the airforces around the world. IAF doctrine does not permit launch of missiles at DMAX-1 ie at the extreme range which the concerned missile is capable of . The downsides of a missile launch at DMAX-1 is

A. Very low kill probability due to low kinematics etc

B. High probability of exposure of onboard radars guidance frequency ( used to guide the BVRs till the seeker on the missile turns on close to the target ) to hostile EW sensors, since it has to remain on for a longer time and hence vulnerable to EW snooping.

If the frequencies r found out then the enemy can jam the BVR missiles from early on in any subsequent air battles.

In order to enforce trigger discipline among pilots DMAX-1 is discouraged generally. Missiles r very expensive.

DMAX-1 launch is also generally known as " mad dog " mode where missiles are launched in the general direction of the target without target lock . The intent is not to shoot the target but rather to scare it or push it into defensive maneuvers.

I don't think many of these NGOs see these terrorists the way we see them. To them, these insurgents are mere victims of the endemic poverty and religious indoctrination in the North East. So when the fighters come stumbling into NGO camps with severe injuries and jutting necklines of malnourishment, do the NGOs turn them away? No, they treat them and give them food. Why don't they hand them over to the authorities afterwards?, maybe it's because if they do that, they'd end up losing the trust of the insurgents and becoming targets of retaliatory attacks. However, this could be considered as sabotage on the side of the military and the nation, because in the end, however good intentioned the actions were, they are still helping the enemy.

There is the twist where some of these NGOs could be working against the war efforts as the army has claimed. They could be fronts used by external forces to keep the conflict raging.

From this point,it is a little hard to tell.

The writer obviously meant JF-17.

We are jointly producing  JF 70 with China…It’s a joint venture but we are manufacturing.. Now I have more than 100 aircraft that are flying.
“The JF 70 is a battle hardened aircraft…You as Nigerians should be very satisfied to have these aircraft flying  in the coming days,  and that is what we look forward to as we cooperate with our Nigerian brothers and sisters so that that aircraft come for the defence of Nigeria, and it will be a very important platform and state of the art aircraft and that is one of the biggest collaborations that we have at this time,” Khan said.

I know of an NGO whose health facility was burnt down by ISWAP in Kukawa LGA. ISWAP looted drugs worth over 20million naira from that facility but in that same attack lots of soldiers were killed and close to 10 Military Hilux were captured by ISWAP. In such instance should NGO personnel in such an attack sit back in the Health facility to fight back when ISWAP wants to loot?

Well, as a far-flung observer, I can hardly differentiate between truth and illusion in these matters.

I imagine that there should be proper verification and clearance given to NGOs by the Directorate of Military Intelligence or as approved by the ONSA, without which a NGO should not be allowed to operate within the region. In furtherance to that, since the area is under martial law, the military has to look into random and periodic inspection of NGO facilities. Measures that can go a long way in preserving national security and even safeguarding the operations of the NGOs.

My 2nd fear in that Sagaie 90mm pic is these nowadays common brown uniform, is this still unconventional war or now semi-conventional? As academic school teacher of Strategic Studies I wonder. Our enemy now has official militia combat uniform, mad boldness! I pray for Nigeria with my beads daily, because so did Rome fall to Barbarians, not that BHT ISWAP call defeat us, but they can frustrate 300 Nigerian tribes with insecurity and we unknowingly tear down our fragile fabric that joins us as one nation. Is our future secure inside this insecurity?
