We need to kill the morale of these bastards. The last week attack in Gamboru they came with 5 gun trucks to disturb Gamboru that has over 2000 soldiers. These guys sometimes love pulling a psychological stunt. 8 Likes 1 Share |

GabrielYulaw:You nailed it. Saudi Arabia (a known sponsor of terrorism) is a strong US ally. You dare not sue a Saudi citizen to court as an American, no matter what he or she does. I find it ridiculous that some people still believe the US is in the Middle East to ensure peace and prosperity 8 Likes |

kemicalreact: Lol. It has never ever been about peace and prosperity. During the Arab Spring, we heard not a peep from the US when protests were taking place in Saudi Arabia and other strong monarchical countries. What were the protesters asking for? Democracy and an end to monumental corruption. Now, the US is supposed to be the champion of democracy in the world, so why did it keep silent when it could have enabled democratic change in the Middle East? Answer- it currently has control over the monarchical governments in power there and a democratic government might not be so friendly to it. This same democracy loving America had the democratic Iranian government replaced by the Shah cos he was about to nationalize their oil industry. The shah was hated and corrupt, but that didn't stop America from giving him their full support and throwing open their arsenal for the Shah to buy any weaponry he wanted. He bought F-14s and more. America so loved democracy and prosperity that it provided the means for evil governments everywhere on the globe from Latin America to Africa to stay in power and murder hundreds and millions of their citizens. They supported people like Mobutu, Saddam, the South African apartheid regime and provided training and weaponry to Latin American death squads that killed raped, murdered and maimed without mercy. There is no nobility about the US in the least. They have always been driven by money and their self interest. That is why the are and will always be the Great Satan. 6 Likes |

kemicalreact: Let me simplify my post. 1. Initial objective was to destroy al-Qaeda and remove Taliban. 2. The longer the US stayed in Afghanistan, the mission evolved /shifted into building a post Taliban Afghan state in which a road map was conceived by the international community, led by the US and Afghan leaders. The first objective was immediately realised. The second is implausible. The Taliban are still operating in the borders between Afghanistan and Pakistan and will resurge as the US draws down it's troop numbers. 2 Likes 1 Share |

GabrielYulaw: I've often said that the US is a parasite on the whole world, but which ever way you look at it there's always a balancing act. If interested read, Games Nations Play by John W. ugo4u: You were in the Airforce in 2014 & probably one of the clusterfvcks that advised Jonathan to pursuit the Chinooks Let me ask you, did you support Jonathan's advisers based on what? Does Nigeria have any existing military treaty or defense MOU with the US in 2014? if the answer is NO then on what grounds did you and your cohorts advise Jonathan to chase shadows? what was in it for you guys? let me guess, the few Trips to New York, estacodes & sitting allowance? I am sure it was the same team of clusterfvcks that advised Jonathan to circumvent Leahy's ban through South Africa with militants & bling-bling pastor? Do you expect them to know SA has been a US ally since Apartheid? We lost $10m to that stup!dity, Meanwhile, your mates in India circumvented CAATSA with EU, Iran is trying to circumvent US JCPOA sanctions with EU also. You are not even ashamed to admit you were part of that conspiracy. 2 Likes |

seankafor: Pervez Musharaff himself was quoted as saying that Bush called him to threaten bombing of Pakistan into the stone age. Far as I know the US has never denied the claim. More, it seems you don't know what things were like just after 9/11. Back then the US was in total shock, fighters constantly patrolled in the air, panic everywhere and the armed forces on total alert. Everyone was waving flags at the least opportunity and we are talking of mammoth flags. So, yes, the US could have easily manufactured an excuse and bombed Pakistan if they so choose. Who could stop them? There are no lengths the US can go and no length it hasn't gone. The same US you are accusing me of over hyping actively supported Saddam during the Iran-Iraq war. They gave Saddam access to all manner of weaponry including things used to make chemical weapons and promoted him as a bulwark against Iranian expansionism, never mind that it was Iraq that started the war. They gave Saddam satellite coordinates, knowing fully well he would use it to launch chemical weapon attack on Iranian troops and civilians. And when the truth of that came to light, they did everything they could at the UN to make sure Iraq was ever brought to account or even condemned. Kindly Google Dirty Wars in Latin America if you can. The US knows no limits cos it makes the laws. |

blacKDalia: The fist objective was realized? Does that mean there's no longer Al Qaeda in Afghanistan? If the Talibans were indeed removed, where did the new crop come from? The longer the US stayed in Afghanistan the longer they realized the war was unwinnable by conventional means. They could kill 10,000 Taliban for every one of their soldiers, but death and dying does not really matter to the Talibs. The Talibans take a long view of things. War is their profession and they go to war not necessarily to win, but to exhaust and outlast the enemy. The Vietcong and the North Vietnamese did it and the Talibans did the same thing. In both cases, victory was not by conventional means. You just have to wait for your enemy to get tired and you can then get everything you want. Tell me something. Is the world safer since the US invaded Afghanistan? Is it safer since they went into Iraq and created ISIS? Is it safer since they helped overthrow Gadaffi? The more they invade the more enemies they create and the more people flock in from all over to fight them. They seem unable to realize that. |
