ACM must be kidding if they think SAF will release Vida to them at all. They're growing wings 'cos it's looking likely that they'll get Becks to remain with them. Dreamers.

It's a mere speculation.

Right now even it seems Real Madrid have started their nonsense again.

TKB
Pls read thru, i think i love this article
I summarily sums everything up.
It gives us an edge in the EPL

My only fear is Mourinho and his negative football antics in the UCL
Two things are opposingly give me confidence and at the same time fears

Maureen has been Fergie's hubby right from Porto grin grin grin
Secondly, UCL Winners of previous season's usually go out at this stage or the quarters.

But on the other hand,
Inter has never beaten United in any competitive game
Again, the defence and rock solid team we have is a great source of confidence to me
coupled with Fergie's desire to haul more UCL trophies
this more or less makes it a mouth watering tie. I really can't wait for next tuesday. grin cool cool

But trust Maureen to be up with his antics and gimmicks.
How i wish they will play us the way they did Milan?
That will be the death knell on Inter. They will be annihilated.

Answers anyone?
Predict tonite's score?

In my own mind o - 4 - 0 but I know Fulham won't go down that easy so maybe 2-0 or something. I just really want us to win and build up our GD.

Welcome Sarah. . . Abrahym, I'm going to have steal that pic. I absolutely love it.  cheesy

Moonie
Roy Hodgson has built a a formidable team at Craven Cottage
So its not gonna be a tea party. I want us to win but more importantly not to concede
So a One nil victory won't really be a bad result. Fergie also has to work on his team bearing in mind
Saturday and next weeks UCL game. So all in all, lets see the team set up then. . . . .

TBAG,Welcome oh.
That makes you a fan since 97,since that was when Dortmund beat us.1-nil both legs.Remember almost crying at the end of the second leg at OT.

lemme read the article and ill get back to you

prediction for tonite: 4-0
Ronny, Berba, Rooney, Vida
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by tkb417(m): 12:17pm On Feb 18, 2009
Emperoh
nice article
I actually got the european record thingy set by Dany verlinden of Club Brugge not Atletico madrid as u said. (1,390 minutes)

is Carragher playing as a RB better than Wes Brown? i dont actually think so but i may be wrong. Not taking anything away from carragher, i know hes good but ill prefer Brown as a RB

the midfield- i think any of Alonso or Masherano will easily bench our Fletcher. That i can stick my neck. how on earth will Fletcher be a better player ahead of masche and Alonso shocked I know javier hasnt been playing well this season but i'd prefer him to fletcher anytime anyday

and then we have Giggs ahead of Riera! Giggs has been hot this season so i'll let that slide
The attack looks ok with Rooney, Torres and CR7.
Summarily, its a nice write up and i agree with most of what is in there. I'll like such comparison with the Inter players and lets see what we'll get

Zlatan, maicon and who?
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Cristalz(f): 12:46pm On Feb 18, 2009

Welcome though.  .  .good to have another addition to the fold.

Why the warning na??
Bluediva is ma good friend. Actually, she's a cousin on ma mother's side. grin grin

When are we going on our honeymoon. . . .?

Glad to meet your family then. So where are the paternal cousins, Arseland? grin grin

Honeymoon.  .  .when Adam and Eve decide to vacate the suite I have in mind cheesy

@Tkb
4 - 0? That's kinda like a tall order, don't you think? Don't care if they get a goal (at most,of course), I just want us to get 3 points.

Fletch is a subtle player. That's his strength,as in,you never know when he's gon' come at you out of nowhere.Mostly due to his being a light player. I would rate him the same as Javier, cos the only difference between them is Javier packs more punch strength-wise than Fletch. And, Javier tends to bag more cards due to abrasive play.  .  .not his fault really tho I guess.
Fletch on the other hand tends to play too light and get knocked down often.  .  .not his fault too. That's why I'm putting them on the same level 'cos they're like equals and opposites. They're both skilled, but only shine when the kind of game they're playing is one that suits their strengths.
Now Alonso I would rate higher than Javier and Fletch. He's got both their qualities combined. Knows when to be light and when to be forceful, and skill-wise he is very admirable. He would shine in any game at all.

Definitely I would pick Wes over Jamie any day o.

Giggs and Riera.  .  .no comment grin

Anywayz, just waiting to see Rooney play tonight. I hope he shaved his head grin Hez always on fire when he does.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Nobody: 12:56pm On Feb 18, 2009
Emp,
I feel theway you do.1-nil won't be a bad result at this stage of the season. If anyone ever told me we'd be in the hunf for 5 trophies this season,i wouldn't have believed them three months ago.
Fulham will be a hard nut to crack. They will fill up  the midfield in an attempt to stifle our play.
But the 1-nil factor will see us through. We have enough quality to be patient and wait for the opeing that will secure us the victory.
Read the article.Carragher won't make it at right back with Brown fully fit.even Rafael will give him a tough time for that 2 jersey.
Giggs won't play on the left because I think all season he's been played from the middle.Ronaldo seems to be taking that spot lately.i think he's deadlier from the right.
After Zlatan, inter don't really cut it.Probably Maicon too.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Emperoh(m): 12:59pm On Feb 18, 2009
What the comparaison is based on is basically this season's performance
And like you said, Giggs is better off than Riera. We are not talking about Youth or age now

Again, Fletcher has been better this season than Javier and Alonso like Samuel said hasn't been in his elements
So all in all, let the midfield and attack go, but Defence, well maybe because Brown has been bugged by injury.
So as well its a fair mix-up.

At Inter,
Berba and Ibracadabra is a close call.
Adriano's power and Rooney's hunger? (i hope he doesn't score a hand of God against us)
Maicon versus Ronaldo.

Viera et Muntari vs Carrick and whomever fergie is gonna field here. How i wish Hargo was fit, this is his sort of game.
I will love seeing him with Pass Master in the middle and watch him break legs.
then,
Julio Cesar and Edwin VDS

Its a close call and a mouth watering clash. I am just somewhat wary of Jose "Chric Tucker" Mourinho's antics
I pray we come victorious sha.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by tkb417(m): 1:07pm On Feb 18, 2009
Emperoh, Cristalz and Eastbay

cool if its based on this season's performance. then i can pick Giggs ahead of Riera and also carra ahead of Brown.
But wait o, Giggs has been superb this season playing from the middle so who plays on the left in our fantasy UTD/Pool 11?

ill go with Cristalz in picking Alonso ahead of Fletcher.

Emperoh
I really do not know who we are gonna play in the midfield but i think we need some strength in that area. Im gonna tip Fletcher to with Carrick/Giggs.
We need the passes to kill them off. You guys need to see how Fab4 nearly killed Viera with passes when he left Arsenal for Juventus.
Thats the kinda passes we need.

we are winning at the SIRO 2-1

Cristalz
4-0 a tall order?
lets wait and see
