Never mind, we'll team up to seek amendment if any partiality is found in it. I hope its not like those American laws that permits women to shit on top men.

so signing a bill into law that will end violence and neglect of taking care of one's own is now irrelevant?.or haven't you seen husband's who batter their wives like they really punch bags? . thank God he signed it because u people and your violent party have violent plans for Nigerians
Its not a bad idea, but a greatly misplaced priority at this time. Has he addressed any party about the distress Nigerians are facing presently? Sentiments will neva allow u guys grow up.

First thing GEJ has done right in 5 years. For systematically punishing us with this no fuel regime, you administration would still be rated -10/10

GEJ is Naija's worst nightmare...
While Nigeria hv gone to a standstill this dumbhead is busy signing irrelevant papers.
Really excercising his dwindling power till May 29. He's a pathetic character.
Nigeria shall be great.

do u really think it's irrelevant? Do u knw how many families are under such unfortunate situation? U are jst too myopic. . . .

I am happy this law protects females from some animals. . . If u arent u are a small fool. I dont think fuel is more important than this as at now. . . The truth is you av no idea wat this is all about.

Maybe he did it because he knows the incoming government would put it very low on the priority list thereby not signing it while the victims keep suffering.

You're a deep thinker.

Most people here are pretending not to know that we do not have a culture of continuity in Nigeria.

Truth is, if I were in his shoes, I'ld do same, cos in these climes, you don't expect your successor to finish up an incomplete project/job for you.

Or a functional justice/legal service that can arrest and prosecute the individuals for that matter

dominique:
It's a couple of good bills he signed but at a very wrong time, not when the nation is about to collapse. Before signing domestic abuse bills, do we have a functional social service? How on earth do they want to implement these laws when almost every single sector is riddled with corruption? Talk about doing the right thing at the wrong time.
