A mother checked herself into a hospital in China,
claiming that she is in labor.
However, when doctors checked her, they saw no
baby.
It turns out that the woman identified as Qi of
Zhanjiang, unknowingly gave birth while riding a
motorcycle, and she left the baby on the road as
she and her husband were on their way to the
hospital.
The baby was found two miles from the hospital
and surrounded by three men who made sure to
keep the child out of harm’s way.
The incident unfolded after Qi and her husband Li
arrived at the Chenguang Nongchang Hospital,
where they told medical staff that she was in
labor.
Doctors quickly realized that blood was dripping
down her legs. They also saw a broken umbilical
cord and placenta, but no baby.
Li and doctors rushed to retrace their way to the
hospital, and they found the baby on the road.
Apart from some minor bruises, the baby was
unharmed.
The baby was taken to the hospital, and is in stable
condition.
