The highly revered journalist stated that Arsenal chiefs will meet with Real Madrid tomorrow to finalise the deal, with an offer of around £35million thought to be sufficient to seal the move.

Benzema, 27, who has scored 133 goals in 281 games for the Spanish giants, has been a top target for Arsene Wenger for several years and apparently instigated the switch by asking to join the north London outfit.

The Arsenal boss is determined to bring in a class striker before the summer window closes and, according to Giulianelli, he is set to secure the services of Benzema on a four-year deal worth £120,000-a-week.
