my fellow Nlanders,

i need your help.

i want to buy a ford mondeo wagon 1993 from a friend, but i dont know how cheap and easy it is to maintain american cars.
I also want to know how readily available their mechanics and spare parts are.
The car is automatic.

Your contributions wil be highly appreciated.

Good rule for used car purchase. If you don't know anything about cars you should not start with someone's throwaway.
Look for a 92-96 civic, corolla, sentra/sunny, altima, golf, halla-bullet(speaking your language) 5 speed.
Think of common parts, basic technology. They will be more expensive initially, but you'll have a fighting chance of getting it to run.
