Haaaa. You cant blame them completely sha. If you were in the CEO's shoes you'll do the exact same thing. They can't afford to pay the fine and record over 1 trillion loss.

Their idea of robbing subscribers to pay NCC ain't cool nonetheless. I hardly make calls with my MTN, wetin consign me undecided

That is not true. NCC told MTN to charge 20k/sec because they are the major operator in Nigeria. This change was implemented before the fine were issued. Family and friends still remain @ 11k/sec.

That tariff was there before the fine. If MTN wants to pay the so called fine, they wouldn't increase their tariff because that may attract another fine. They might subscribe you to packages you didn't opt for e.g migrating to a new plan may have a weekly or monthly charge on caller tunes. Fashions, bbc news e.t.c are some of the ways the do to generate cash.

MTN's management has failed to return the goodwill and large customer base they have got over time, and for them it's normal to flout instructions hence this emerging challenge before them.

Imagine such a big netowrk having to learn how to offer competitive rates and services from the likes of Etisalat.

If they should go down, it's a product of their insatiable greed.

They should go lick their wound!
