Your spirit. If you think you're only made up of flesh and blood, you're terribly mistaken. Your flesh is just a covering; the real YOU is what controls your thoughts and actions. When Christ comes into you, Tudor, He'll transform your spirit and you become a new creature. Your thinking, behaviour and orientation will change. You'll be liberated from the shackles of satan that has held you bound in unbelief and rebellion against your Creator. And your life will be full of blessed peace and hope for life eternal. |

LOL, you still have a lot to learn. Can you tell me the key factor that differentiates the mind of man from that of an animal? |
Re: Help Ur Brethren: by Tudor6(f): 8:59pm On Jun 29, 2009 |
Err. . .the complexity of the brain. |
Re: Help Ur Brethren: by gen2genius(m): 9:07pm On Jun 29, 2009 |
See what I said? "the complexity of the brain." Isn't that quite ambiguous? In which brain is there the "complexity"? Do you realise that despite the fact that whales have larger brains than humans', they still can think like humans or do half of the things humans do? Let me tell you a fact science and fellow atheists will not like to admit. The differentiating factor between our mind and animal's is the spirit in us. Animals have no spirit. They have no conscience. They have no self-will. Humans are infintely greater than other animals because of the spirit that indwells them |

Emm. . .just so you know, "size" of the brain is quite different from "complexity" - for example, the relatively smaller brain of the orangutan is more complex than the larger brain of the elephant. Now, when people have some kind or brain injury or in mental conditions like schizophrenia, OCD etal, thought patterns and self-will have been known to change. Some become violent, aggressive, compulsive, obssesive and even kleptomaniacs. In severe cases the ability to think is even lost. Synthetic hormones that affect the brain have been known to affect thought patterns and self-will, drugs and narcotics the same. If the ''spirit'' where to control thought, self-will and morality like you claim, even 50% brain malfunction shouldn't affect thought, morality and self-will. We all know that isn't the case. |
