Our client is an emergent conglomerate looking to hire a vastly experienced professional to be Executive Director Transportation (Haulage).
In this role, the suitable candidate will be responsible for managing a team of staff and subcontracted haulers who provide a driver accompanied full and part load service to Europe. Your duties will include planning and controlling the operation of the transport service to ensure good customer service is maintained, vehicle routing to achieve best profit margin, rate negotiations with customers. To be considered for this position you must be experienced in road transport, and be able to display a good geographical knowledge of Nigeria. You should have a high level of numeracy to be able to accurately calculate and agree customer tariffs. You should also be logical thinker with the ability to work under pressure and possess good communication and keyboard skills. Fluency in English and other Nigerian dialect is essential.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Extensive Haulage Transport experience, preferably senior management role
- BA/BSc required or equivalent experience. MBA/MSc a plus
- Professional qualification in Transport Management an added advantage
- Must have in-depth understanding of the industry
