Abuja – The Nigerian Army has increased the cash reward it promised to give anyone with useful information that would help in the rescue of its abducted officer from N500,000 to N1 million. This information is contained in a statement issued on Monday by spokesman of the Army 1 Division, Kaduna, Col. Abdul Usman. He said the cash reward was increased to mobilise more support from the public for the rescue of the abducted officer. He urged the public to contact the Army or security agencies with useful information that could lead to the release of the officer. Usman added that the Army would give adequate protection to anyone with relevant information and promised to treat such information with utmost confidentiality. The Nigeria Army in a statement on Sunday confirmed the abduction of its serving senior officer, Col. Samaila Inusa in Kaduna. The Army statement noted that Inusa was a serving officer at the Nigerian Army School of Infantry in Jaji, Kaduna State. It noted that Inusa’s abductors kidnapped him at Kamazo in Chikkun Local Government Area near NNPC junction, Kaduna State. It added that his abductors dropped his wife “and left with him in his car and headed toward Abuja.”http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/03/army-increases-cash-reward-information-abducted-officer-n1m/ |
