safarigirl: Consolation! Anything is possible. Teams do qualify with 4 points. In 2010, we needed just 3 point to qualify having lost our first 2 games. 1 Like |

We may not have a Messi or a C Ronaldo, but i hate it when people refer to Super Eagles as underdogs, cuz that is a flat lie. They are not underdogs anything. Please can someone with brains do a good analysis of our players. We are not underdogs, Please. 1 Like |

goldfish80:which one is dishonest people again? Wetin that one mean? You don't know what Ebuehi would have done because Rohr did not play him. However, Shehu was played and was adjudhed clueless, even by the commentator The real dishonest people are those who fail to accept that Shehu was ineffective today....then again, what is expected of a make-shift Right Back? Argue about forcing square pegs in round holes before calling people dishonest because their opinions differ from yours 8 Likes |

Meliforme: Compared to players from other countries....they simply don't come close.....its the truth Iwobi...a player English arsenal fans are begging unai emery to offload due to obvious lack of progress.... is our most creative player...also an england reject Moses......another England reject is dull and one directional....the Nigerian version of Antonio Valencia or Jesus navas....being Nigeria's best player....when he won't even smell the English team....who themselves are not even FAVOURITES to win the competition shows the kind of players on parade for the super eagles Ndidi is the only consistent player on the list you mentioned....and even he doesn't perform well for Nigeria I never heard of simy until the last few weeks before the end of the season...where was he all this while?... World class indeed If carvajal was a Nigerian, if dani alves was a nigerian? Hell...if ordinary kieran trippier was a Nigerian.... Won't he make the Nigeria squad? That's what happened with ebuehi....and voila....he happens to be an upgrade on the right back we had before Its good to believe in miracles...but they are called miracles....because they RARELY happen We are simply not good enough compared to the best in the world....maybe Africa....that's the truth...get over it |

safarigirl: Look at Keshi's starting backline to the 2013 AFCON, Confed Cup and WC. What changed? The only introductions to Keshi's starting line up were Babatunde and Osaze. That team had some tournament experience. You may chose to ignore it's importance but I tell you it is a factor. |

goldfish80:but he would have played better than shehu... all through the friendlies lately he played better coupled with the fact that he offers more offensively and he is a natural RB. please tell me about shehu....hope you are aware that the crots first goal which resulted from a corner...really came in from the right wing back....shehu failure to stop the crots birth the corner kick.... 9 Likes |

Mikel that was seen pressing high up the pitch for most of the first half? He only tired out in the second after that second goal went in... He stayed deep and Etebo was beginning to bomb forward with his driving runs. No no no... Mikel did enough. Part of the problem was this... Whenever Mikel supported Ighalo with the high press there was no one on the right hand channel to connect with both Mikel and Ighalo to cut out more passing lanes of the Croatians' build up from the back. It was always Mikel and Ighalo pressing high up.... This is because Moses was doing a great Job covering for Shehu. Now Mikel and Ighalo kinda needed a Victor moses to connect centrally but he was not because he was trying to work his own magic down the right channel... Victor didn't play close enough to the box some tines and this kinda disjointed the flow from our midfield to attack on that side of the pitch. And this should not have happened had Iwobi stepped up to the plate and provided that missing link. Ighalo played highest up the pitch... Followed by Mikel who some times was seen falling back to help build up plays in that first half. Mikel and his midfield lieutenants actually matched the Croatians in midfield.. You cannot dent that fact despite the loss. It is just that Alex Iwobi was not in his usual A Form of drifting centrally to effortlessly help Mikel and Ighalo upfront with Moses doing his things on the wings. So trying to blame Mikel just because it seems nobody is talking about him is not right. It is not like we are scared to call him out.. It is actually just that Mikel did enough. I recall a fine pass he created through the middle for Moses which was blown away because Moses was looking for a PK. Sad. charlesemeka85: |

Etebo didn't make any mistake, the ball came to touch him, wasn't like he played the ball into the net. Ekong was the culprit of the word "mistake", wore seatbelt for Manduzic. hadly contest for airballs. i don't even know why he benches Omeruo. Catalyst4real: 1 Like |
