People who fail to plan definitely limit their chances to succeed. At least 2 major elections have been conducted after March 28, still there have been violence and allegations of irregularities. Right now is the time we should be talking about 2019 elections. Right now is when the government should start preparing for credible elections in 2019. I know we have other very serious problems in the country, but we must not ignore the fact that credible elections is one major way to punish non performing leaders and strengthen our democracy.

Ex President Goodluck Jonathan ensured there was a contested election, arguably the best we ever had in many years, and lets be honest, the credibility of that election contributed to Buhari's election into office. President Buhari must build upon that. So far with the elections conducted so far, have we seen an improvement? We need to start asking the right questions now.

This is not the President's job alone. The house of assembly must be involved, they have to invite INEC officials and scrutinize their records so far and level of preparation currently, and they have to insist that budgets are presented in time and are not delayed. Its our duty to get this to their notice. We must get involved, We should not keep mute about this, then come back after the election to complain about violence, underage voting and irregularities... Are we doing our duties as citizens in this respect?

I make bold to tell you that the next election will be determined by the youths, there will be two options before them, either to kick out the old folks and elect fresh competent bloods or they maintain the status quo of old men in power,or they explore the third option which is revolution.

But Nigerian youths must remember that it is not only APC and PDP we have,if we can vote them out at the central, things will gradually begin to fall into place.

Well, i think the youths have always determined elections in Nigeria, but in what way? In many cases, they are used to disrupt elections, snatch ballot boxes, cause violence, intimidate other voters etc. Is that how they will determine the next election, getting paid to do the wishes of the same people they blame for Nigeria's problems and despise so much?
