mjd2020: Pal, then make an independent findings and don't listen to side talks. Take a trip to her hometown and make a research if all those claims are factual. I'm not from there but I am sure they are baseless claims. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

So if I say yes they are real and mention persons that may not even exist as proof, you'd call off the engagement? You no serious sef. Don't you know that the average man would make up tales about the next man for no other reason than to feel superior to him? Nairaland is one of the worst places to find reliable info on serious stuff like this. 7 Likes |

sapien: I know for a fact that Igbos aren't cannibals and no where in south east enclave do they feast on humans. If such claims were true it would have been an open secret and not something I should be hearing for the first time. Other claims might be true but that of cannibalism is unfounded and false. SirJeffry:My choice of words..... Well, was expecting insightful contributions, not jokes. Wonder why people can't read seriousness in a post. I see people's thread everyday. If I don't have anything meaningful to contribute, I just read and move to the next. I know I don't have answers to all questions.Sorry if that pissed you off. |

Re: . by ehinmowo: 3:50am On May 05, 2016 |
several of my frds who are Igbos have confirmed to me that there were some places in the east where human bodies are consumed. I am not sure about now. if you are staying outside her place of nativity like Lagos or any other state apart from Ngwa dominated area, it is much better |

Re: . by boxer022(m): 5:50am On May 05, 2016 |
If you are talking of Ngwa, talk if the area as there are several villages and towns. For instance there is Isi alangwa North, there is also Okpu alangwa so don't just generalize. Find out from her where exactly she is from and come back. |
Re: . by ChinenyeN(m): 6:17am On May 05, 2016 |
Yes, it is tradition in Ngwa that the corpse of a woman be taken back to her people, and the children perform various rites related to her burial. As for eating people, if you get scared over everything you hear, then it means your life is a very self-restricting one, guided by your own baseless worries. 3 Likes 1 Share |

mjd2020:I did my NYSC in Isiala Ngwa North, and trust me when I say what you heard is false... Besides there are many lovely women from that tribe, and their are also many virgins in Ngwa land, (winks, nobody should ask how I knew but I know) you will be making the biggest mistake of your life to leave her just because of this useless false reason... 1 Like |

ronald4ever: Go to Ngwa at night, lets see if you make it out by day. Lemme tell you a true life story. My neighbour is from Abia state, Ngwa part.(dunno if its Isiala, Osisioma or Obingwa, never cared abt the details). My neighbour doesn't take his kids home for anything, he hardly goes home himself. His son regularly goes shopping in Aba, Once while in Aba, he decides to visit his dads village in Ngwa. He asked for directions in Aba and a bike man decided to take him down. They got to the community and the bike man dropped him and sped off. He walked to the nearest compound to make inquiries. The people he met there welcomed him, and gave him seat. They asked where he came from and he explained, they told him to wait that someone wil come pick him up and escort him to his fathers compound. Now, i have to say that this youngman is very Plumpy and "wellfed". While he sat waiting, little did he know that they had put water on a huge pot and set it on the fire to boil. He said he noticed the way the were talking in hushed tunes and looking at him. After waiting for more than 15mins he got up and walked towards them to ask why its taking so long for someone to taking so long for someone to take him down...... The story is too long to type..later. |
