Pls does anyone know whether the allotment for International Breweries has been released. Was it under/oversubscribed? |
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by pumping777(m): 2:58pm On Feb 01, 2008 |
bigjay01: A company does not have to be listed on the NSE to be competition for another listed company. ABC transport definitely has competition. I kniw they have cut a niche for themselves, but they are not the only ones there. |

Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by ebony9ja(m): 3:37pm On Feb 01, 2008 |
upward: While not sounding like a killjoy, you may be celebrating your flight take off too early, what is making BCC drop that cannot affect WAPCO ?. As far the current environment persist where herd mentality and sentiments have driven fundamentals to one side, WAPCO may experience turbulence by monday. it might as well shed the current gain before you say FO2! people will rather buy penny stock than all these highly priced stock unless bulk of the shares are concentrated on few hands, Another is fantanstic dividend and bonus, I don't see what can move the stock right now, just my 2cent. |
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by ololufemi: 3:43pm On Feb 01, 2008 |
@ ebony9ja, No be ordinary people dey move stocks like Wapco, Ashaka et all, na big time institutional investors and once rumour of bonus enter, na loke, loke the stock go dey go. Also BCC and Wapco no be mate. Pussy cat and Lion no be mate oh. Both of them be cat, but one cat level pass the other cat level. |
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by upward(m): 3:45pm On Feb 01, 2008 |
ebony9ja: Well, there's nothing wrong in sounding like "killjoy" this an open forum and you have a right to your opinion, no hard feelings at all. Yeah, WAPCO can very well experience turbulence by Monday, this NSE, anything can happen, but that's not likely to happen. Have you considered the comparative advantage of the stock in it's sector? Check it's PE ratio, EPS, even the RSI. Meanwhile, I didn't buy mine today and not planning to sell by Monday. |
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by ololufemi: 3:46pm On Feb 01, 2008 |

Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by windywendy(f): 3:59pm On Feb 01, 2008 |
FatherOF2: If my memory serves me right, I think I'm the one who liked Diamond but not the GDR thingy . But you see o, I took my money and went for Vitafoam, STACO and Equity Assurance, all of which gave me far more than 28% in less time-frame . The way I see it, in this market it's all about opportunity cost. The market itself is moving up fast, so it's a question of selecting stocks that will outperform. Abi, we have to take maximum advantage of all of these inefficiencies before the powers that be wake up na |
