Indeed, according to a Roman playwright Plautus "a woman without paint(makeup)is like a food without salt". Ask a group of women why they wear makeup and you would receive more than "ten thousand" responses. Some will say it makes them feel more confident, that they don't feel completely done with out it; others will say they love experimenting with looks and colors as a way of expressing themselves need that it allows them to channel different personalities and aesthetics. But widely I have realized and can say quite confidently that there are many different roles makeup play in a woman's life. There is the playful and creative aspect -who does not enjoy swirling a brush in a pallet of colors-, what about the confidence building/boosting aspect, why not cover a huge red blemish on your nose if you can. I've learnt make up can make you feel more powerful and ready to face any situation, it could also be a weapon to attract intimidate shock or even amaze others your partner inclusive. Conclusively makeup is everywhere in this society of ours today that for every woman to go without it has become in sum cases a statement "no makeup selfie" is a perfect example. Shout Out to the beautiful woman that still rock it and look absolutely hot even without makeup.
