Fayose is the only Nigerian who has defeated an incumbent state governor twice: He beat Governor Niyi Adebayo in 2003(THOUGH APC NOT FORMED YET BUT NIYI ADEBAYO IS ANTI FAYOSE SO ITS SAME AS APC) and Governor Kayode Fayemi in 2014.
