pokuasi:You have to register a new moniker for this interesting. Anyway it is pokuase not pokuasi . I hope you have seen the four lane and the interchange under construction on that road presently and likewise the dome to kwabenya road which are very close to pokuase. And about the electricity..... from the horse mouth ( The finance minister himself) ""Mr Ofori-Atta told the legislature that: “Firstly, excess electricity generation which was procured during the NDC regime from Independent Power Producers (IPPs), including Emergency Power Producers, at exorbitant prices under flawed take-or-pay contracts. Currently, according to the Energy Commission, the country has installed power generation capacity of 5,083 MW, dependable capacity of 4,593 MW and peak demand of around 2,700 MW. So, our installed capacity is almost double our peak demand. Notably, 2,300 MW of the installed capacity has been contracted on a take-or-pay basis. “On average, less than 40 per cent of the contracted take-or-pay capacity is actually used, meaning that we are basically throwing away money by paying for the remaining 60 per cent of excess capacity which we do not actually consume. In monetary terms, what this means is that we are paying over half a billion U.S. dollars or over GHS2.5 billion annually for power generation capacity that we do not need"" so currently, Ghana is generating excess of electricity more than what she needs. yet she still plan to build a nuclear plant. that is pragmatic thinking . since most source of electricity cannot be trusted . nuclear electricity is useful, practical and cost efficient in the long term. Solar and wind cannot provide the standard baseline during the peak hours of electricity consumption because they are fairly unstable; but nuclear can easily supplement the grid. 2 Likes |

pokuasi:The problem with you is lack of grammer understanding. there is diffrent between demonstration and revolution. you may need to consult your basic English textbook. Ghana electricity is presently in the hand of ECG not PDS. cus the diabolical agreement have been over run. who ever is feeding you rubbish. low shedding in Ghana has never been attributed to low power capacity in this year. it is either maintanance of the road due to construction or train road development or relocation of the grid from Tema base down to gas house( takoradi) . and ever since I have landed in the country( which is about 1 month and some few days now) my light has never blink. 2 Likes |

[/quote/you're a fat liar if you say you're generating excess electricity.. PDS was about to announce load shedding before its contract was terminated.. February through may this year, there was huge power crisis which saw light go off for 12hrs.. Power is somehow stable now cos it's rainy season.. March will expose this your claim of excess power generation 1 Like 1 Share |

A country whose citizens still study under trees cos of lack of class rooms, undertook a populist policy of free senior high school.. Where did that leave them, massive failure at the just concluded WEAC exams due largely to the so called 'DOUBLE TRACK SYSTEM' where secondary school going kids will go to school for 3 months and stay in the house for another 3months 1 Like 1 Share |
