With the maiden edition in 2014 - The Readers ‘R’ Leaders Awareness Walk is an annually anticipated event organized by Ignite Africa Leadership Foundation, with the aim of creating awareness to promote the reading culture in Nigeria, especially among youths. This event usually gathers enthusiastic Nigerians and notable individuals in various sectors as we walk to get the attention of Government, Education Stakeholders and the General Public.

The motivation is founded on the philosophy that: no nation can grow and develop beyond the level of her education! #SDGN04

With this year’s theme: “#MasterYourGameReading” - the Ignite Africa Walk Planning Committee is happy to receive individuals, students, student organizations, corps members, private and public organizations, religious organizations, NGOs, social enterprises etc. to be part of the walk, and also support the event - by creating awareness on social media platforms in order to build the needed momentum prior to the D – day.

Walk Details

Date: SATURDAY, 22ND OF OCTOBER 2016
Start Time: 7: OOAM
Start Point: Ndubuisi Kanu Park, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
Walk Materials - (T- Shirt, Face Cap etc.) will be given to walkers who registered either online or offline and reported at the start point of walk.

This year’s walk promises to be an exciting one - featuring:
- Grounding breaking leadership content
- Poetry & spoken word performances
- Speedreading
- Rib – cracking comedy by the industry best
- Great music performances by top Nigerian artists
- Dance, Face painting and lots of Fun Activities.
