CRACKED

He swore he'd kill any person who tried to hurt me,
He was the person mama fell in love with..
He was the person mama trusted the most.
Mama called him my protector and I never understood
why.
He took care of me well when mama was home with us.
She adored him and I knew it.
She was happy with him and it was okay by me.
But, he was the person I feared the most.
When he walks confidently into my room at night,
When mama was gone to work.
My heart beats faster a hundred times.
He was the man my body has gotten accustomed to-
The only man my body has ever known
And when he touches me where it hurts.

I close my eyes and try to shut my mind.
In the past I cry but nomore.. not anymore!
Ever time he went deeper into me-
I told myself... I told my body
To hold on a little more.
That this man is a monster and my papa is coming to
defend me.
To hurt him for hurting his daughter-
His baby girl.
My knight in sparkling armour is on his way.
Peace climbed into my heart.
As I imagined my papa coming home to tear this creep
apart
That is what I know fathers do.
They govern with kindness
They encourage
They direct
They provide
They reflect love in every direction
They protect.
Father was alive but his being has been murdered out of
FATHER
Still, I knew it was all lies I told my body.
The monster who visits constantly-
And leaves me with throbbing pain is my papa
My very own blood
The man whom mama called papa "My Protector".
And he aint coming to save me today or forever.
So, I lied still on my bed
without emotions as father went deeper.
And even now... I'm lying to myself again
