Sagamite: Quoted for pure win and undeniable truth, once again. You seem to be one of the few here that actually make sense when talking about football. I whole-heartedly agree with everything you said. But I believe that Amodu's future with the team depends on how well the SE perform in the upcoming ACN. |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by Sagamite(m): 3:38pm On Dec 09, 2009 |
Iyineda: I couldn't agree more. The only way I will call for Amodu's removal is if he fails himself at the ANC. And failure is not by not winning the Cup. Some moorons are already talking about winning the ANC as a must like if Nigeria is some overwhelmingly strongest team in Africa that other teams have to bow down and worship rather than play against. Nigeria with its players is not even in the top 3 in Africa. If Amodu wins ANC, then he has shown exceptional ability. I would demand at least SF in the ANC except we meet CIV, Ghana or Cameroun on the way and don't lose with embarassing display. That is, we played well but lost marginally. Or we had to play the likes of Tunisia, Egpyt, Algeria, Host Angola and Mali with 10 men or less, or lose to them by penalty shoot out. To me, those exceptions are not failures. That is football, sometimes you lose. But I think the minimum (bar exceptions) should be SF with good display on the way through. I wonder what the mooorons would say if Amodu was the one leading an All-star Chelsea to draw with a club from Cyprus with such woeful defending. For a whiteman it is OK, for black, bring him down. |

Will wait until after Nations Cup before predicting our opening match at WC |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by zukkymike(m): 9:06pm On Dec 09, 2009 |
I think Amodu has done pretty well as the coach of SE. We all should give him all the support he needs to lead us to nations cup come january. It is the ANC'10 that will be used as a yardstic for his competence in leading us to WC. However i have studied Amodu closely. He is a very lucky coach. I wount be suprise if he leads nigeria to semi final in the world cup. |

Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by Kratos007(m): 8:51am On Dec 10, 2009 |
Sagamite: sagamite or sodomite or whatever the feck you call yourself, keep your insults to yourself sir!!! you can get your point across without insulting people. you are not the only one who can do so. even if every country cannot afford a friendly game, nigeria certainly can! |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by FBS: 9:40am On Dec 10, 2009 |
moonraker:So because messi scored a freekick means we cannot beat the Argies? Wonders shall never end. @ALL, pls NO INSULTS. Keep the banter civil and nice. Thanks. |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by moonraker(m): 9:52am On Dec 10, 2009 |
@ FSB This isnt really my point, my point is that if we play the way we played against tunisa and kenya, then we will be punished, by people like messi, |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by Sagamite(m): 9:57am On Dec 10, 2009 |
Kratos007: Stop throwing stupid accusations so I would not see the need to vituperate you. It is not everyone I debate with that I insult, it is the ones that cannot demonstrate ability to demonstrate thinking that get that approach. |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by FBS: 10:12am On Dec 10, 2009 |
moonraker:Sir, its FBS not FSB? You mentioned the free kick by Messi. How could I have related that to our game against Tunisia? Sha, no long thing. . .Our boys will come good. They know what is at stake. |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by Sagamite(m): 10:19am On Dec 10, 2009 |
FBS: I wondered where the clarity was myself. Make dem no worry, all non-favourite teams are going to the WC to lie down to be despoiled. So when SE get to the first game, they would just sit on the floor to be flogged according to our football specialists here. |

The match btw Argentina and Nigeria would be a tough one indeed. But i see the possibility of a draw. The Nigerian side should be careful of players like messi and make sure their midfield as well as defence is solid.

PurestBoy: i ask you a simple question and see the knd of jackass answer you're giving me - "use your imagination" indeed. now i know you don't have any moonraker: so because of one free kick you concede defeat as if free kicks are the only way to score goals . now i know say you belong to the 85% of nigerians with NO HEART one free kick demoralised you just like one goal against nigeria by tunisia demoralised you up til today, even after you qualified omo, am so ashamed of your spineless, lazy man's analysis . i repeat: YOU NO GET HEART AT ALL |

Based on current form, Argentina are no better than the SE |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by youngguns: 5:18am On Dec 11, 2009 |
on current form like one of the few sensible guys that replied sed, the argentines are just as bad as us, but we know in football nothing is constant, If chelsea can go from a nobody to winning their first tiltle in 50 years by just spending a few hundered million pounds, so Argentina too can improve, its not like they dont have the personnel to do it, i believe any team that has messi on its side has a good chance of beating any other team in the world not to talk of a team as inconsistent as ours. before the draw was made, u had a funny feeling we were gonna get them and got them we sure did, for u that don't know your football stats that would be the 3rd time out of our 4 world cup appearance that we'll have to meet them, so far we've lost the first 2 loosing 2-1 in usa 94 and 1-0 in south korea japan 2002.lets hope history would favour us this time aroud. Personally though, for us to have a good world cup, we have to take the nations cup seriously and prepare well for both tournament which is one thing we've lacked since 94. |

I feel Nigeria could upset Argentina. Amodu is a genius compared to Maradona. If people are swearing at ahmodu, what would they say about Maradona ? Argentina struggled just like us to make it to the world cup because they don't have a smart coach. As for Ahmodu , he should do better. The match against Tunisia was not entirely his fault; i have to absolve him of the bulk of the blame. You saw how our players were playing to the gallery, they lost concentration and before you knew it, the net started shaking. A lot of people are being sentimental when it comes to hiring a foreign coach. I believe Nigerian fans are the most sentimental people on earth. England the homeland of football hired a foreign coach. What does it tell you? Ghana did the same thing, cameron, Cote d'voir, Japan to mention but a few all hired foreign coaches. But in our own case people will start saying, " we don't value our own, bla, bla, ". Atleast i still have to give credit to shuaibu. He's better the Berti Vogts . He is quite sound technically, if he had taken us to last Nation's cup, we wouldn't have been knocked out woefully. However, it's too late to hire a foreign coach. let's just give Shuaibu some support. |

vislabraye: Great points, visla - The voice of reason, and even more of faith - i couldn't agree more. Contray to what most people would want to believe, Amodu deserves some credit, and some respect. Let's give him the chance at the nations cup, cos Amodu or not, that's our team and we must support them if we truly want them to do well |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by ayusco: 12:45pm On Dec 12, 2009 |
@visla good points made. its not that we are against hiring a foreigner as coach but like u said the time is too short to get one who is technically & tactically sound |

@Desdo Is that a refugee camp?see ya weak boxers @Topic This is off topic but I pray a foreign coach takes us to the world cup.Amodu has inferiority complex, same goes to Onigbinde-(Recall his defensive and stupid performance against argentina at the last w/cup)? |
Re: Argentina Vs Nigeria - World Cup 2010 by Sagamite(m): 4:08pm On Dec 12, 2009 |
hollandis: Do you mean the inferiority complex he had against France? |
