OK, I can understand number 1 but will doing so encourage local sufficiency on its production? But on number 40 how will that help the local economy?

They should unban every commodity goods on that list. Can't they see that from rice ban to cement and roofing sheets and tile, including Indian incense and others, consumers are suffering?
Indigenously produced ones have not helped either, rather have skyrocketed to make these new policies shameful.

unbaning these goods will lead to consumer sufficiency or food, depending on the products. When you look at the quality of locally produced tomato and tomatoe pastes, you will realise there is the need for restriction on foreign exchange to be lifted so consumers can eat healthy foods.

We can't afford to unban everything on that list yet, our foreign earnings is still not yet how it used to be in the past time of oil boom and can never be due to recent happening. It will only make sense to unban some items that will make much impact on ameliorating the sufferings of the masses. Remember the demands for forEx is still high on the Official market, we need to prioritize the base on the level of the impact the Unban items will make.

Yehhh..... Mynd44 abi na Lalasticlala has relegated my thread to business section that has less audience to where I originally post it. I intentionally post it to politics section to have more contributions from people who are active most on that section because they are the one who criticize every policy of the government without suggesting an alternative.

They should unban vegetable oil and Palm kernel products. The cost of making soap and all other things that depends on palm oil have skyrocketed.

Wow.. Nice idea. But don't you think we can step up our game on palm kernel production and take back our lost position of the world largest palm kernel producer and exporter by adding more value to it?
