Eva ikpekhie (CANDI JESS) was born to Nigerian parents from Edo State. She got introduced to music by joining the church choir. Eva has cited Rhianna, Sade Adu, Celine Dion, John Legend and Don Williams as her musical influences.
“Rhianna” inspired Eva to pursue a professional career. When she was 7 years old, she participated in several forms of art while in her adolescence. She sang in her church’s choir, cultural group and joined the drama club while in secondary school.
