On June 6, a Coalition of Northern Youths, CNY, led by one Alh Abdulazeez Suleiman, gave quit notice to Ndigbo to leave the North within three months. On June 7, the Gov of Kaduna State from where the ejection notice was announced condemned the act and directed the Police to arrest the leaders and sue them. Same day the Gov of Bornu State also condemned the action of CNY. On June 8, CNY came out fuming, insulting the two Govs and accusing them of politics opportunism. They again re-affirmed their quit notice warning that by Oct.1, 2017, they would not be ready to be part of any Nigeria that includes Ndigbo. The following day the IGP, Ibrahim Idris ordered his Commissioners and AIGs to ensure that the nation was not pushed into a turmoil. There have been condemnations of the CNY action from various quarters within and outside Nigeria but none from the presidency just as it has been mild with the killer Fulani herdsmen.
Ironically till date, neither the Police nor the "very efficient" and ubiquitous DSS has arrested Suleiman and his team despite their consistent public statements. I am beginning to wonder why DSS and the Police have not been able to catch the CNY guys. If it were the massacre of IPOB youth who were having peaceful protests, the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu for supporting the cause of Biafra, or of Ifeanyi Ubah for owing NNPC N12b while the corporation is owing him N16b, DSS will be very active. Knowing the mentality of these Northern youth who, based on their boldness, must have big guns behind them, they will carry out their threat before the govt knows it. So please can somebody who knows better tell me who is deceiving who.

Why should they be arrested? Do they threaten violence against anybody?

If they deserve arrest, then KANU, ipob and FFK deserve hanging.
