Above is the new age qualification to run for a political office as approved by the Nigerian Senate during the constitution review exercise yesterday.
Before now, a person must be at least 40 years of age to be elected President or Vice President, 35 to be a Senator or State Governor, and 30 to be a Representative in parliament.

People think it's about d age but it's not, ask urself why didn't people contest to d house of reps since its just 30yrs limit?
The problem is simply abt d cost. U will buy declaration of interest form, nomination form, print campaign posters, do jingles, do rallies, print shirts n other souvenirs, keep atleast 1k per person for each polling boot on election day. The only people who would quickly benefit from dis are the children of public fund.
