It seems to reward one's loyalty to Yahweh rather than acknowledge humanity's worth. What more can be more lust full than that? 1 Like |

chemystery: Yes as I explained earlier . Since the fallen angels invaded the earth . Wickedness abound . The nations attacked isreal . Sometimes even when isreal appeal to just pass through their land and vowed to pay for even water they drink they would still attack Israel . Because of the demons in them The devils have been polluting the human race . The process of possession was through the idol demonic worship . That’s why God says not to marry them . Demond’s transfer like virus. God had to quarantine isreal . But now jesus says we can cast out devils in his name . So no need dwelling on the old again If this is justice to youit was justice because there was wickedness . Do you know how many Jewish male children they killled ? Despite this God still appealed to pharaoh to key his people go over 12 times . why do you see it wrong when Muslims kill those who doesn't believe in Allah and his prophet Mohammed? Things have changed . Mohamed had encounter with fallen angels so he was deceived to believe he was talking with God’s angel. And they kill innocent peace loving people 1 Like |

petra1:You are just telling stories. You have not justify killing of born and unborn babies who are not guilty of any offence. Give me biblical account of Jewish male children killed as well as their unborn babies. What if the main offenders were killed while their babies are adopted and trained in the right way. Oh I see! That concept escapes the creator of the universe just like the concept of forgiveness escapes him until he sees the blood of his son, which is also him. Things have changed . Mohamed had encounter with fallen angels so he was deceived to believe he was talking with God’s angel. And they kill innocent peace loving peopleWhere did you see Mohammed having encounter with demons? What if Jesus actually was the one that had encounter with demons? If the former is a possibility, the latter cannot be ruled out since we both have no evidence. Well, for your information, things haven't change 'cause god never changes. Therefore, there is no how god would change from killing of those who doesn't believe in him. From this, it is evident that it was Jesus who actually had encounter with demons, then changed god. If you justify killing of unbelievers in your bible and see that in the Quran as barbaric, then you are either hypocritical or naturally immoral or rationally imbalance or you simply wanna troll. Think again, You are justifying the killing of innocent babies! Just think again, this time, with empathy. |

chemystery: It was demonic influence which cause pharaoh to decree against Gods people Exodus 1:15-16 (KJV) 15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: 16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. 1 Like |

petra1:So you are comparing and using the killing of Israeli slaves of the Egyptians with the killing of unborn babies of free men minding their business and worshipping their own god? Killing is wrong whether done by a god himself, or by man through god, or by man himself. If you use your bible or god to justify any killing, you are no different from islamic terrorists killing in the name of Allah 1 Like |

milkymesh: One funny thing i see nowadays most especially in Nairaland is the scenario where men terms to question GOD for his actions. Trying to make GOD accountable to them for their actions forgetting the fact that HE is GOD. Yes, you heard me right, HE is GOD and nothing can ever change that. He is GOD, He created the the earth, the universe and everything therein. He is the creator and everything He made is his creation and he has the right to exercise and enforce his authority over His creation the way he chooses to. He is not and I reapeat He is not accountable to any being for His actions. Anything He chooses to do is final and no man has the right to question him. Take for example seun and Nairaland. Seun is the creator, founder and sole owner of Nairaland. Whatever he says or decides on Nairaland is what stands whether the Nairalanders like it or not. He is not accountable to anyone on any decision he takes concerning Nairaland whether it is favourable or not. If seun decides that tomorrow pornography is legal in Nairaland, that's what will stand whether we like it or not. We may rant all we want but one thing is sure the proclamation of seun on Nairaland will stands unless he decides to revoke it. If any Nairalander is not okay with seuns laws on Nairaland, he or she has two options which are: 1.) Deactivates one's Nairaland account and leave Nairaland for good. OR 2.) Continue as a Nairalander silently without complains. Same thing applicable to GOD, what He commands is what stands whether man likes it or not. Man may rant, abuse, insult or defame His name but that won't change anything because His decision, commandments over/to His creations which man is a part of, Stands. You may ask "Does that means GOD is a dictator?" Who is a dictator if I may ask? A DICTATOR IS SOMEONE THAT COERCES OTHER PEOPLE OR THING TO DO WHAT HE WANTS AND LIKES WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT. And I ask can a creator be a dictator over his creation? Of course the answer is NO. Dictatorship has to do with exercising coercion over someone else someone you didn't create or give him or her life, someone you didn't owe his or her life and not the other way round. A creator has every right to exercise every authority and power over his creation E.g seun and Nairaland. Every creation was created by the creator for a reason and purpose and if the creation isn't living up to expectation or isn't doing what he was created for, the creator then has the right to do whatever he wants to do with it, be it destroying or giving it another chance etc. For E.g if Nairaland isn't up to what seun expected or isn't giving seun what he wants, seun has the right to take any action as it's creator on it without having to answer to anyone or being accountable to anyone. Same thing applicable to GOD. But if you still oppose that, that means logically you are trying to tell me that a creator can't exercise his or right or authority over his or creation. If GOD doesn't have the power to exercise His power and supremacy over His creation, that means logically seun doesn't also have the right to exercise his authority over Nairaland. But of course, that's not the case because whether you like it or not, choose to believe it or not or chose to oppose it or not, one thing is sure, GOD is GOD and what He says or proclaims is what stands because He is not accountable to anyone concerning his decisions. The bible says in Romans 2:11 (KJV) For there is no respect of persons with God. Which means He doesn't care whether you agree or not with what He says because one thing is sure He is no respecter of persons and what He says stands and no man, absolutely no man has the right to question him. Now back to your question. GOD does not kill, He only takes back what belongs to him. The bible says in Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Man is living according to the above passage because of the breath of life (which belongs to GOD) which GOD breath into man. All He has to do is take back what belongs to HIM and man is a lifeless body. Mind you, GOD didn't just decided to kill those people you mentioned up there, rather something pushed Him which is rebellion and disobedience. They disobeyed Him by committing atrocities which was what pushed GOD to punish them by killing them either by himself or by commanding people to do that. Israel wasn't even spared when they rebelled against GOD, HE punished them severely for that on so many occasions. Mind you all this took place during the time of the law. Why didn't He send prophets to warm them, you may ask? I don't know. That's His choice and decision. And His is not accountable to me or any man for it. Besides the people that turned turned a new leaf then E.g the Kenanites, where spared. And also He chosed not to destroy Nineveh, rather He chosed to send his servant Jonah to them to warn them of their sins. That's was HIS choice and decision. HE isn't accountable to anyone for it. GOD gave the commadment of "Do not kill to man" because He wants man to live in peace, non violently, harmony with one another. And also no man has the right to kill or take away the life of another man because he wasn't the one that created that man or gave him life. The Bible also says in Roman 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. The bolded part says it all, no man whosoever has the right to kill his fellow man except GOD because HE is the one that created man and gave him the life he is living. Just like no other person has the right to dictate what goes on in Nairaland except seun or someone's seun has mandated to. Also just like no one has the right to take away the gift given to a givtee except the gifter who has the right to take away the gift if he or she chooses to. And also that's a commandment from GOD, and remember what HE says is what stands whether we like it or not because HE is GOD and our creator. But glory and thanks be to GOD through JESUS CHRIST who established grace and abolished the law (which was when GOD was strict with HIS laws and punishment). That's why we can do and behave any how, sin, insult and ridicule the name of GOD, disobey HIM and yet HE will still forgive us when we repent and ask for HIS forgiveness. That's is why HE no longer punishes (except in rare cases. Remember HE is GOD and has the right to do it without been accountable to any man for his actions) immediately when we disobey HIM, rather HE send HIS words through his servants to us to bring us back to him. That's because HE wants everyone to be saved according to the Bible in 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." That's mercy and Grace at work. It's kind of funny when I hear people say because GOD isn't strict anymore as HE was during the time of the law, that means HE is weak. NO dear, GOD isn't weak rather that grace and mercy at work. That's to show you how merciful, kind, compassionate and lovely GOD is toward man kind. THANK YOU, NAMASTEY. #XAVIER. |
