Lagos, Abuja, PH, kano and owerri airports accounts for 92% in air traffic. Enugu state local airport despite all the benefits is not even in the list. I think the aviation minister studies these stats, it actually guided his decisions so far. Very good decisions

Pictures please. Besides i said that Okorocha has done some warehouses to improve his own airport. What has the clueless gbuurugburu done so far to improve the condition and image of Enugu state local airport? Nothing. basilo101: |

[quote author=pazienza post=71835850] International traffic that is mainly pilgrimage to mecca and that had been bolstered by Big FG investments in key infrastructures for international operations, while every devilish tactics available, including closing down the airport over flimsy excuses of repairs in festive seasons like Christmas and Easter, had been deployed by the FG to frustrate passengers out of the airport, as if starving the airport of infrastructures is not bad enough. Must you cry? |

I am happy as the rest of Nigeria that Sariki has come to correct the errors of Stella. We cannot afford waste at this time as a nation. No Aviation investor will invest in an airport with zero traffic like the enugu airport. Let's be reasonable for once. vanbonattel: |

Handsomegod: That guy is more right than you, by far. If you follow the old road between Onitsha and Awka, you will notice that they will soon meet at the same spot someday. In fact, I heard that first from my Community Medicine lecturer, about how it's even considered in their professional circles that Onitsha and Awka will soon merge. It's not about the distance, it's about the rate of urbanization. My only problem is, let such urbanization be planned. Otherwise, it will be just another jungle. So, the government should step up to that reality. 1 Like |

basilo101: We already settled this issue with a google map exact measurement and we saw that Enugu was indeed bigger in total city sprawl than PH. I will look for that post and repost it here. Meanwhile, it's already 5 years of Akanu Ibiam International airport ! Wow and they never missed any scheduled flight, EXCEPT when the Nigerian government mischievously closed down the airport 5 Likes

vanbonattel: PH beats Enugu in number of multinational companies, businesses and expatriate living in the city. But in terms of urban sprawl, Enugu beats PH. Enugu must learn how to bring and keep businesses in the city. However, you can be sure that the Nigerian FG will try to frustrate every effort in that direction. They will prefer that Enugu remains a village. 2 Likes |
