Team Atiku/Okonjo-Iweala. Okonjo-Iweala is the pride of Ndigbo. I remember watching Tedx Houston and saw her told the world how proud she was to be an Igbo. Let's support our own. Spread the news everywhere. 5 Likes

As Wike, a minority from Rivers state continue to rise in power in Nigeria. The question of non Igbo tag of Ikwerre is a very vital topic, as establishing that would help prevent us from being exploited by opportunists from that part of Niger Delta, in no distant future. The GEJ mistake is going to take us 40yrs if not more to correct as it stands. We must not afford another of such. So, those who are saying that we had wasted pages dissecting this crucial matter are either shortsighted or have ulterior agenda. I'm sure that Spider880, the Ijele of this thread is currently preparing beautiful pictures for our eyes to feast on. We had kept this thread lively and active in his absence. 5 Likes |

hammer6F:It's her time and it's also the time of Ndigbo. We must match words with action. Voters apathy will die in the SE as far as this combo is concerned. All our people need to do is campaign vigorously everywhere we find ourselves. Ndigbo have done well first, by the help of our PDP delegates to ensuring Atiku won the primaries. We must do more by sensitising our people to come out to vote come 2019. Our enemies are taking our apathetic stance for granted by trying to deny us our rights. The enemies of Ndigbo must be put to shame. They've flooded all social media trying to sell a SW VP, even the staunch BMS in the midst are not left out. But all their plans will fail. The Igbo nation must put them to shame. 3 Likes |

Chiwude: NOI has never failed to be proud of her Igbo heritage. She is Igbo all through. When she was accused of running an Igbo agenda by Yoruba media as a minister of finance, see her response: The minister said: “There is something ethnic and I am going through it now. If you check on the internet there are articles saying that Okonjo-Iweala has gone ethnic but I believe in merit and competition and I don’t really care what part of the country you come from as long as you can do your job and that has always been my tenet. So, actually Igbo don’t find that I am that convincing because I think in Nigeria, we need to have a culture of merit. But by the way, when you think of merit and competition Igbos don’t do badly and that is a problem, we do rather well. Somebody said everybody in the financial sector is Igbo then they began to list people like the deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Director-General of Stock Exchange, Director-General of Securities and Exchange Commission, Director-General of Debt Management Office, myself and Sovereign Wealth Fund. “Of course, they said because I am Igbo the person in charge of Sovereign Wealth Fund is also Igbo. He won completely by open competition and merit and the other top person there, Mrs. Stella Onyejekwu, got the job completely on merit. We should be proud of the president because despite of everything he insisted that merit prevailed and that those who got the job should be allowed to take it. The president should be commended because there was so much pressure on him. I said to somebody could you check the employment history of some of these people when they were saying that everybody in financial sector is Igbo because I am there. They got there independently on their own merit and most of them got there before me. “Somebody wrote an article on this saying that I have come there to prosecute an Igbo agenda and then I saw another one saying this a biglie what has she done for the Igbos? She is there with Jonathan prosecuting a South-south agenda so I thought that was wonderful. So my point is, I don’t give a damn. If the people got their on merit they deserve it and we will stick with it as long as we know they didn’t get it through the back door,”Okonjo-Iweala said. http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/im-not-pursuing-any-personal-agenda-says-okonjo-iweala/144947/ 8 Likes |

BankeSmalls: lol Biafra? And you are fighting for VC position? lol. Anybody fighting for Biafra should be making sure everything goes against Igbo politicians for them to lose interest in Nigeria. The biggest threats to Biafra are the Igbo politicians. All Nigerians need to do is continue to favour Igbo politicians with juicy positions and watch how Biafra will continue to be a pipe dream even till the next 70 years or more. If you love Biafra, drop your stupid call for Igbo VC in 2019 and Igbo presidency in 2023 |

BankeSmalls: I'm not the most intelligent one here. I'm just the Igbo man who is not inhibited by political party or selfish allegiance to non Igbo organizations. I'm simply only loyal to welfare of Ndiigbo. Most Igbos are intelligent people. We are known to be intelligent people. Problem is that most of us here have allowed allegiance to friends from other parts of Nigeria, Political parties, politicians, and even selfish interests, make us to refuse to put Igbo interests first and foremost, Igbo interests have been relegated to secondary considerations by Ndiigbo whose allegiance lie outside Igbo nation. That's the problem we have in Igboland today. Most of the points I raise here are things I hear Igbo commoners in the streets of Aba, Enugu, Onitsha, Awka, Abakaliki, Umuahia, Owerri say. I'm just opportuned to be here to say them. We all know the truth. Btw, I want no reward from anyone, what I want is reward to all Igbo persons, whose altruistic and patriotic opinions I echo. And this reward can only be secured by protecting Igbo interests from opportunist Nigerian groups and vigorously advancing such interests. Dalu. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Pazienza I think it's time you stop discussing about Wike and his Ikwerre people. We have already underlined our stance towards them and other denials in the future and it's a waste of time flogging a dead house. Use your writing strength wisely and go to the social media just as I do everyday to defend the Igbo interest come 2019. Ohaneze have sounded the warnings that Ndigbo vote will be given to only the party that rewards us with the VP. No more party will take us for granted anymore not even PDP. We must fight for Igbo agenda everywhere and not just here on nairaland. We must fight the enemy in their own game and emerge victorious. It's time we push the Igbo political interest so that we don't suffer more years of anti-Igbo governments in power. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Chiwude: Peter Obi should just bless that combination and keep it drama free. There are other positions. Let the Igbo women have a go at Nigeria politics, they might be more successful at it. Further, the type of hostile ethnocentric campaign yoruba media are waiting to unleash will be quelled by the softer sex and NOI International figure. The combination will fly home and abroad. 1 Like |

hammer6F:Peter Obi will aim for President just as other SE sons come 2023. VP is for those who can be humble to the President. Obi that I know will fail in that aspect. We will support our own when the time comes for Presidency. But now let's key in into this agenda and hope it is acceptable by the PDP. If the PDP foolishly takes our loyalty for granted and gift the SW the VP slot, then to your tent oh Isreal. We'll align even with our enemy and allow them lick their woumds when they're betrayed by the snitches and beaten. |
Re: . by hammer6F: 9:14pm On Oct 08, 2018 |
We Igbo men will have our day but for now, NOI is the best candidate. Soludo that would have been appropriate was caged by the same Peter Obi now nursing Presidential ambition. Then again, Peter Obi might still be Atiku Vice President since NOI might decline the offer. In the entire East, Peter Obi is the most shrewd politician of them all. He caged Soludo that would have been Atiku Vice and relegated him. Peter Obi has links to America Government. He undoubtedly masterminded Atiku emergence as PDP candidate. 1 Like 1 Share |

BankeSmalls: Our oil? Which oil? looooooool. So for your mind now, IMO and Abia are contributing immensely to the oil wealth? Go to daily sun's website to see the oil derivation money paid to Abia and IMO states then you will know that the two states contribute very little to the overall oil wealth of Nigeria. If you like stop your governor from collecting federal allocation or not, Biafra will still be a pipe dream ( a very long pipe dream at that ) as long as our leaders keep getting more political positions. |

BankeSmalls:Igboman is not the PDP chairman. Secondus is an Andoni man, forget the Uche you see there. Meanwhile it's time we mute this one east Ipob agenda because we nearly saw what Wike almost did to us by trying to relegate us to the backroom political. Fayose was woke man for VP to team up with Tambuwal so that come 2023 he would use the Igbo card to hoodwink many of you Ipobians and take our slot. It's time we start to play politics by interest and not of compassion. Igbo Interest for now should be the mantra, not Ipob pan-minority eastern interest. 7 Likes 1 Share |
