Not everyone who goes abroad is from a rich family. A lot of people scratch, claw, and hustle to make ends meet. Furthermore, can you really the income of a middle class Nigerian family to that of a middle class American family when the median income in America translates to about 13 million naira per annum?

I'll tell you the secret—it's family. Asians, Indians, and Nigerians have strong family ties and values to support their kids. It's not unheard in Nigeria for the other kids to pause on school and learn a trade so they can fund the one with the best prospects to study abroad. These definitely aren't rich people but people from a strong nuclear family unit with a strong drive to succeed. When it comes to Indians and Asians, I don't have to tell you how much emphasis they put on academic success.

I agree that black Americans have faced racism in America and that may cause them to lag behind but the fact still remains that Asian Americans were put in internment camps during WWII and now even outperform white people in America. To be honest with you Ben, you are making it hard for me to observe Sunday Rules, and I'm even beginning to doubt I could possibly stick to Disstroy's all week rule!

The above shows you have not bothered to read the book because what you claim is very clearly not written in it nor is it even inferred, and anyone who implies that what you are claiming is what is in the book, is either being evil or is just plain ignorant and I can't honestly decide which is worse.

Do know that what is written in the book does apply to all teachings, and that biases in the education system does a lot of damage to those being 'taught', and while a government should rightly ensure equity in a school system, a parent must go much further and seek superior education for their offspring. That is the reason some chose to pay their child's school fees instead of sending their children to free state schools. It's to get superior education for their child, and not equity education that government schools provide!
