I was referring to the Trumpers on this thread who were lauding his numbers when the numbers said Trump had a ~60% chance of winning.
The problem for me is that his model is not transparent, so we don't know what goes into his probabilistic outcome calculation.
I've been a fan of his in the past, and was ok with that in the past.
But things have changed since 1.) he started offering more punditry since he got fired from 538 for his terrible 2022 predictions. 2.) he started working for an election betting company owned by Peter Thiel, Vance's mentor and a big Trump donor in the past.

I blame AG Garland and by extension Biden. Garland was too soft for the job. He cared too much that he would seem political and biased if he made some of these moves he should have made. So, by not making it he was political and biased in the other direction. He hasn't gotten the memo, Republicans will call you political, no matter what you do. They opened up a weaponization committee and used it to weaponize the DOJ against the President's son. So, Garland should have just done his job. He didn't meet the moment and in turn Republicans are still doing the same things.

As to the public, it's not really their fault. The Right has weaponized propaganda in News and Radio since Reagan got rid of the fairness doctrine. It's hard for people to believe that people would get on TV and outright lie to you. And some people don't have the time and/or know how, to do the research themselves.
