Kinda difficult to find a good Nigerian restaurant in Brooklyn, but there are few African Restaurants around. They are mostly Senegalese, Cameroonians. But Buka is really a nice Nigerian restaurant. 946 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11238, +1 347-763-0619 Food is great, but expect not a great service. |

the best African market you can find in NY is the terminal market in the Bronx. 772 Edgewater road Bronx NY Queens is not that far from the Bronx but when you go you might want to buy in bulk. |

@Poster I used to live in Queens NY, (Laurelton to be precise). At the time I lived there, there is an African market that had just opened walking distance from where I lived. The owner is a very nice lady (Nigerian) though I do not know her name. The address is: Merrick African and Carribbean Market 23204 Merrick blvd Springfield Gardens, NY 11413 Phone: (718) 341 - 3509 The neighborhood where this African Market is located is called Laurelton or Sprinfield Gardens in Queens NY. To get there by bus, you can take the Q5 from the Jamaica bus/subway terminal in Queens, NY. The "E" subway train takes you to Jamaica, Queens. Another option is Bronx terminal market like 25omega had mentioned. You can buy Nigerian/African food items in small quantities and in bulk there including goat meat and the likes. |
